Do they actually think they will ever achieve anything with all this Bible bashing, Whilst everyone generally gives them an ear bashing and many will mock their determined efforts.
What is their cause? do they really think they will ever convert anyone, I think most people just find them a bit irritating and a waste of time.

b00, i felt they were a troll or suchlike very early on and declined to engage with any great effort. some see such religious posts as harmful, but you only have to read one or two to realise that anyone being harmed by them probably already has fundamental internal 'issues' anyway.

B00, I think these people are trolls - but they're far from harmless. In fact they are positively dangerous. Some of us here have seen the damaging effect that this sort of stupid bilge can have on a vulnerable mind. This site is open to all, and we have no idea who may be reading these threads, so if I can prevent just one susceptible mind from being influenced by this nonsense, then I will - whether other people like it or not.

I think Elderman and alteregos are Jehovas Witnesses or a very similar breakaway.

JWs believe or are taught that they are under a biblical imperative to spread the word.

Now if you were a JW and perhaps couldn't get out the house or were impeded from doing so for a similar reason you might think that using on websites like AB was a very good substitute.

This is what I think the cause is - to fulfill a religious duty to preach - whether or not anyone listens is probably less important - which is why there's no real effort to engage with debate.

Why do people respond? I guess everybody has their own reason - but probably the need not to let such drivel pass unchallenged is common
