I think you have to distinguish between Sith, and then Truthabounds / Elderman / Goodlife. As others have said, Sith seems friendly enough, and will engage ( although I think his beliefs are wrongheaded :) )
Truthabounds and the others though - they are different. This is a personal feeling, and I have no real evidence beyond a feeling - but at least one of these are willing to create sockpuppets in an attempt to add weight and bring what they think is an "authoratative voice" into the argument. I also think that at least one dissembles on a regular basis, or is just perhaps a Walter Mitty character, inventing backgrounds or life experiences again in an attempt to assert authority to their arguments.
Other than that, they often follow a similar pattern.
1. Start inconsequential sounding topics, then quote annoyingly trite verses from the bible, as if this holds any authority.
2. Rarely engage directly and answer observations, questions or rebuttals, but make more statements containing the alleged wisdom of the bible.
So - their philosophy is debateable, their logic is mostly puerile, and their anti-science, dogmatic, outdated views offensive.
Were they to refrain from posting their religious screed here, and preach to themselves, I can quite happily let them do their own thing. I will not let them make absurd or wrongheaded statements on here unchallenged though.
As some others have pointed out, many of the posts have the flavour of JW. I am pretty sure I read somewhere that trainee preachers were encouraged to come onto forums like this and spout off - Indeed, at least one religious college awarded marks towards a paper qualification, using such postings as evidence to support their "MA" or whatever - worse, they were marked on volume of output rather than quality of argument.
Their debating methods have that feel - Ignore the rebuttals, just plough on with their versifying.
On a wider note - I know that its a free country, that people are entitled to hold whatever beliefs they wish - but I feel quite saddened personally at the hold religion can exert over peoples minds.
It permeates our culture and shapes our responses, and makes claims over morality and beliefs that it shoud not. Many of those of faith insist that no amount of argument or logic or rebuttal will shake their faith- as if they take pride in having such an intrasigent attitude! - no amount of venal or outright criminal behaviour on behalf of religiious representatives will cause them to remove the blinkers - And it is this I think that is the most worrying.
Such dogmatism is dangerous, and tragically, society suffers when such attitude are taken to the extreme, in the acts of random violence or outright attempted genocide.
