Why am I an atheist? Well for one I had religion forced down my throat from a very strict father from an early age, while all my brothers stayed at home my sister and I were forced to attend church every sunday, sunday school and put through confirmation, we had no say in the matter, and no choice, we had to do what we were told. As a youngster then I found it the most boring time of my life to be honest and more of a chore than a 'way forward'. I will never understand to this day why my brothers never went to church. Also the people I have met throughout my life thus far who have followed a religion and believe there is a god have been the most unforgiving, cruel, miserly, foul mouthed gossip mongers ever !! So explain that one as its beyond me.

because as i have said before i studied different religions, found islam and agreed with its teachings and therefore i believe there is a god.
