I like Charles Darwin though. There is no religion in my world. You are born you live a life as best you can and you die. End of.

It amazes me it really does. All the theists come out in support of their god talking faith etc but when any salient point is offered they ignore it.
Sith I will ask again in simpler for what is the difference between an american TV evangelist and the man who supposedly received the word of god for your religion? And why should either take precedence over the other?

Maggie, why you feel a belief (hope?) such as yours has to revolve around an unknown, unseen God, I'll never understand - but that's another story that this question doesn't address, and that I suspect its author has not the wherewithal to address. And that, I assure you, is in no way a criticism of you.
Sith Why don't you believe the evangelist? It makes no difference his religion god is speaking to him. You have as much evidence of that, as you do that the Koran is the word of god.
You can't just say you believe one and not the other, what makes one right and the other wrong? I don't believe either but you are making a choice here but you argument as to why is very inarticulate.

As so many religions in a world that gets smaller and smaller by virtue of ever faster travel and communication, the impact of various faiths is felt worldwide, whether we like it or not. The outrage that broke out in 1989 over the book The Satanic Verses, written by what some people termed ‘an apostate Muslim,’ is clear evidence of how religious sentiment can manifest itself on a global scale. There were calls from Islāmic leaders for the book to be banned and even for the author to be put to death. What makes people react so vehemently in matters of religion?
