Do the world’s injustices—including those instigated by hypocritical religionists—prove that there is no God?

It seems to me that the ranks of the ungodly have been swelling since the evangelism started.
i take it jomifl did not understand. oh well.
See Elderman, you have proved me right by just using the word 'arguing', Im afraid I would not want to waste my precious time getting involved and would kindly turn down the invitation to judge as it just would not interest me. I like Charles Darwin though. There is no religion in my world. You are born you live a life as best you can and you die. End of.
No, not end of. I believe I will see my daughter and husband again on the other side. I have no proof - that's why it is called Faith.

Sith the question is 'are there valid reasons for atheism?' your answer was 'there is a god' which implies that there being god is a valid reason for atheism which is nonsensical. You should have said 'No (in answer to the question ) then supported your statement with reasons.
I think swelling the ungodly ranks is a deliberate end of days ploy. As there's possibly limited room in heaven, making bad people out themselves now will save the lord a load of messing about come the day.
ok jomifl, either way i believe there is no valid reasons for atheism. understand?
Sith , since you put it so clearly, yes, thankyou.
It amazes me it really does. All the theists come out in support of their god talking faith etc but when any salient point is offered they ignore it.

Sith I will ask again in simpler for what is the difference between an american TV evangelist and the man who supposedly received the word of god for your religion? And why should either take precedence over the other?
maggie, there is no harm in this kind of faith if it brings you comfort. My sis lost her husband and derives peace of mind from her belief that he is looking down on her. Religious purist may tell you it is deluded but its what helps you that matters.
well for starters one was christian the other is a muslim, one lives in america the other in saudi arabia, one lives today the other 1000 years ago and oh yeah, im not a christian so i do not believe a tv evangelist.
Maggie, why you feel a belief (hope?) such as yours has to revolve around an unknown, unseen God, I'll never understand - but that's another story that this question doesn't address, and that I suspect its author has not the wherewithal to address. And that, I assure you, is in no way a criticism of you.
Sith Why don't you believe the evangelist? It makes no difference his religion god is speaking to him. You have as much evidence of that, as you do that the Koran is the word of god.

You can't just say you believe one and not the other, what makes one right and the other wrong? I don't believe either but you are making a choice here but you argument as to why is very inarticulate.
Sith, just because you have chosen (or been persuaded by)islam does not make it any more valid than any other religion or belief. The real world take no account of hopes and wishes, it treats all of us with equal impartiality.
Question Author
As so many religions in a world that gets smaller and smaller by virtue of ever faster travel and communication, the impact of various faiths is felt worldwide, whether we like it or not. The outrage that broke out in 1989 over the book The Satanic Verses, written by what some people termed ‘an apostate Muslim,’ is clear evidence of how religious sentiment can manifest itself on a global scale. There were calls from Islāmic leaders for the book to be banned and even for the author to be put to death. What makes people react so vehemently in matters of religion?
Just occurred to me humbersloop that St Peter may have gone digital and has a record of all this. Full astern both and chuck out the sea anchor!
I would also like to know why sith does not believe the evangalist?

One of the advantages of faith is you get to choose the god that best suits your own personal image and cultural customs. Why people can't just let the best matched god choose them (god must know best) is a puzzle to me.
