I am currently watching someone, who has never harmed anyone, die a slow, distressing, and horrendously cruel death. How does that equate with a compassionate God?

Lightbulb, again, God is omniscient so why does he need to test people when he already knows the outcome? Unless he has a bit of a spiteful streak, it makes no sense.

Rubbish. The Hebrew genocide as Joshua and his followers invaded the Promised Land killing everyone including the babies was done in the name of God. They then treated the box of gold and silver they plundered as deified object.

We're not talking about an afterlife - we're talking about the horrendous pain and suffering people endure in this life. As I said, sensible people don't live their lives waiting to die.

yes, but muslims believe this life is a test. The more you suffer or endure, the greater the reward in the next life. Yes, you may not believe that and by all means youre entitled to think that that it is rubbish, but there are around 3 billion people ( that includes christians and muslims) and there are probably more that do believe in an afterlife.

i meant more as in more than christians and muslims together. so maybe more than the 3 billion number i estimated. My point is that it is a belief, and people do believe in it.
