I doubt he will be interested in the worlds problems, he will probably try to address the churches problems through a policy of 'more of the same' and hope for the best.

Agreed Khandro but I fear that so many problems are not going to be addressed by the Church. The use of condoms. Celibacy of Roman Catholic priests. A choice, yes, a necessity, no.

I think he will find it a hard job to undertake at the age of 76. I am a bit surprised they didn't choose a younger man this time as it involves a lot of travelling. Still, I suppose if the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh can still do it .....

what influence does he have on any of the world's problems? His predecesor didn;t manage to solve many of them in all the years he was in charge, what on earth different could this guy do?
