Families you who have not experienced the misery, deprivation, and desperation of life in the slums, squatter areas, and shantytowns (or whatever one chooses to call them) would you find it difficult to imagine such conditions. Yet, for hundreds of millions of people, they are the realities of everyday existence why?

goodlife - I know a lady who is now over 70. She goes out to India for six months of each year to work in a Leper Colony. She goes out because she thinks that is what god wants her to do.
She does not preach the gospel or harp on about us sinners. I don't think that she could quote one bible passage. To her religion is about doing something to help others.

I don't think anyone was bemoaning that, some people look to friends and family, others look to vodka and chocolate, others look to the Bible. If we all looked in the same direction, who knows what would happen behind our back.... (wolf would eat all the chocolate probably).
