A convenient miracle has been discovered which will allow pope paul to become a saint. Silly beyond words.

Apologies for the link to the daily mail, the same story is in most newspapers so it must be true.

...................needs.

We're presented with evidence, evidence strong enough to satisfy the elders of the church apparently, and yet the mockers disregard it and scoff. :-(
And Pope John-Paul's sainthood bothers you because.....
..............perhaps because it is made up nonsense to strengthen the grip of an autocratic body, rich beyond belief?
"An insider told The Daily Telegraph that details of the miracle are likely to be announced at the end of this month or at the beginning of July."

Still working on the story then?
what a load of old tosh, yet millions suck it all up as if its true...unbelievable.
There are more than 10,000 saints in the catholic church. How will one more "strengthen the grip of an autocratic body"? And if its nonsense, why so bothered?
A miracle is a supernatural event. The Catholic church is obsessed with them. The majority of accepted "miracles" are medical ones where a person, often from Central or South America, is "cured". The original disease in question is often misdiagnosed.
By their very nature miracles should be more "miraculous". Why don't the devout pray for the return of a deceased family member for instance, or is that too miraculous?
// And Pope John-Paul's sainthood bothers you because..... //

Because it's based on nonsense and lies. Organisations and people who promote nonsense and lies are bothersome.
Well his other miracle was curing somebody of Parkinsons disease after somebody prayed for him to, which is very impressive. Saint him up, he really deserves it.
"bothersome"

at best downright dangerous at worst

the fact its being announced as a "mystery miracle" by the vatican shows the utter contempt and what mugs they see their slavish followers as.

"tell them any old schite...dont worry theyll believe it...they always do"
Sorry, lost me there. How does this equate to 'dangerous'? You are giving it more credence than you are claiming to do.
Pope John Paul II wasn’t actually around when the first ‘miracle’ took place. The nun who claims to have been cured of Parkinson’s Disease, says he healed her by intercession. In other words he was already dead, but her order prayed to him for her recovery so he had a word with God on her behalf, and voila! As ‘they’ say, it’s not what you know - it’s who you know! ;o)

//The Vatican issued stricter rules in 2008 after complaints that the Congregation was becoming a "saint factory".//

About right.
"Pope John Paul II wasn’t actually around when the first ‘miracle’ took place."

99.99% of all beatifications are posthumous. That just goes to show how miraculous miracles are....
The only real miracle is that its a miracle how theyve gotten away with their string of lies and deceit for so long !

What seems to me to be really silly is the assumption(non-biblical) that it was a prayer re. pope paul that did the trick. It could equally have been a prayer by anybody else via any other saint. Of course the vatican could have got the nod from upstairs, something like ' it was the prayer from the family via paul that convinced me to do the miracle otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.'

No, it just goes to show that when no questions can be asked, no answers can be given.
"Of course the vatican could have got the nod from upstairs..."

Quite probably, that is what has happened. Beatification approval team, 7th floor.

^ stand-ins for god who is on holiday.
Why is it that miracles only seem to happen within the Abrahamic religions and especially to RCs ?
// We're presented with evidence, evidence strong enough to satisfy the elders of the church apparently ..//

They're the elders of the church sandy. Traditionally these are not people who apply much quality control when deciding what constitutes evidence. That's why the mockers continue to scoff and the scoffers continue to mock.
