Ratter I really must take issue with your assertion that all muslims are disgusting people. I lived and worked in Albania, which is a predominently muslim country, for a year and was treated with nothing but kindness. My "Albanian family" that I stayed with have remained firm friends, in fact I am going back next year for my "adopted" daughter's wedding. Please don't tar everyone with the same brush.

I think the link to Islam is circumstancial.

The fact is that these attacks are perpetrated by ignorant misogynist peasants in medieval 5hithole countries. These also happen to be exactly the same kinds of societies where fascist death cults like Islam flourish, so logically you're going to find a dispproportianate number of these attacks carried out by muslims.

However, it'd be incorrect to infer from this that Islam somehow condones or encourages throwing acid in peoples faces.

You're fantasising. I'd hazard a guess that SirOracle knows which religion you're talking about not because you're doing what Jesus asked but because you do nothing but blather on about Jehovah's Witnesses. I doubt there's many here who wouldn't have reached the same conclusion.

Pixie, oh, I see what you mean. That of course is true, but within Islam the role of women is made very clear. They are subordinates and man is the master. That is not to say that acid attacks are specifically sanctioned, but husbands are advised to beat their disobedient wives and in some instances to confine them to the house and starve them to death, so within such a backward culture it's hardly surprising that other punishments are sometimes considered justified
