I bet jehovahs witnesses know some good knock knock jokes.
Dr.F, Good find. :o)
Are they volunteers or they members of the congregation? Almost a sacrement for JWs, handing out leaflets.

Ok, so we've got all these JW's either knocking doors or hanging around Street Corners handing out publicity, are they paid by their organisation or are they drawing benefits and claiming they're available for work?
A genuine calling, or yet another drain on our Society?
Baldric the jw's that use to live near my old house worked full time and would spread the word in their holidays or spare time

the house was always spotless but must be easy to clean as they had no telly or belongings and the only book i ever saw was the bible on a stand in the back room
Since volunteering is encouraged by Job Centre Plus (due to removal of all phones and vacancy computers it should be known as Job Centre Minus) and most churchgoers are retired, I'm not sure if your question makes any sense.
No different from the bloke who's always selling the Watchtower outside Boots - you either speak to him, or you don't. If they want to waste their time hassling commuters, it's up to them.

Ink, non of the JW's we get in this area are of retirement age, in fact far from it in most cases, and since when were you appointed a judge of what does or doesn't make sense?

(Pot and Kettle imo)
Pot and kettle, Baldric. But in this case I was talking about the JC's view of the pot.
Well if Goodlife is out a'canvassing and a'pestering in Waterloo, Victoria or even Carlisle station, at least he isn't cutting and pasting here.

Every cloud DTC, every cloud!
I thought JWs had worked out that only 140,000 would be 'saved'. After all these years they still haven't reached the target!
It's called attrition, tiger - they keep dropping off in droves when the sane ones realise what drivel is being spouted.

///One of the core doctrines of the Watchtower is that only 144,000 humans will go to heaven, where they are to rule as kings///

That's GROSS!
that sucks, baldric, but is true....
Good one, Baldric!
