You can't quote the Bible to prove the Bible is true. That's called "begging the question" or a circular argument. You have to find something outside the Bible to prove it is true, and not just an imaginary spirit you want to believe in.

I had a friend who lost the top of a finger and and like you was very devout , so he prayed for several years to your GT to regrow his part finger. IT DIDN'T WORK ! It still looked like a squashed plum.

Now why is your GT such a failure ? You say your GT created the universe and yet he can't even do such a minor repair job ! Let alone regrow failed organs of the body.

Millions of operations and treatments are carried out every day by MAN . If your GT existed they wouldn't be necessary in the first place.

That argument is largely invalid because the theists of all levels of piety are using their 2000 books to justify their actions today and must therefore also be judged by today's standards .
Common Law and social standards change as circumstances change but holy books are, in the main , set in the time of their creation. albeit many thousands of years ago.

It will never change as long as the clerics want to keep the power it gives them.

To my mind the quote confirms that the speaker thought he was aJew and not out on his own and therefore would cause difficulty at the COuncil of Jerusalem AD 50 where they discussed whether it was a ll a new religion or just an extension of Judaism.
