Why Did Jesus Come To The Earth?
170 Answers
Jesus was not an imaginary person. He really lived as a man on earth. “In ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the [actual existence] of Jesus,” notes the Encyclopædia Britannica. So just who was Jesus? Was he really sent by God? Why is he so well known?

Having just spent the last 30 minutes reading through this thread and having a good laugh, I have realised that the original question hasn't really been answered. So, for those who are really interested, and I am sure Goodlife is, I will give my tenpenn'th. If you read John 18 v 33 -37 you will see that Jesus himself said that he came to the earth to bear witness to...

Back to the word truths, It signifies that which is right and genuine.
The source, or foundation, of truth is the Almighty Creator of the universe, Jehovah God. He knows the truth about every aspect of his creation.
He knows what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad. He knows the truth about what has happened in the past and why, as well as the meaning of present world conditions. He also knows the truth about the future, since he already has determined what it will be.—Isa. 14:24.
God of truth has set a time limit for the permission of untruth and its resultant wickedness. ( Eccl. 3:1) God has purposed that, when the time limit expires, he will crush this Satanic system out of existence, along with those who promote it and prefer it.
How do we know that, well the Bible has had a fight to live.
Its enemies that have sought its destruction and tried to prevent its circulation have been the very poeple who claim to be its teachers.
No one should be deceived into thinking that the Bible is the cause of the evils and hypocrisy found in world today.
The Bible is too plain-speaking and truthful for the leaders of Christendom to teach, let alone follow. Its uncompromising stand for truth and righteousness exposes all these false teachers.
People of so-called heathendom should not reject the Bible because of the crimes of those religious hypocrites who render mere lip service to the Holy Scriptures.
So why blame the God of the Bible or the Bible itself for wrongdoing and delinquent acts.
Yes. It tells for sure what will happen to this world of confusion. It alone holds out hope of happiness and a future of prosperity.(John 8:32)

vulcan42, I expect it’ll be the JW’s corrupted version, but whether the bit he’s talking about concurs with the others remains to be seen. I can’t think what he means. Jehovah’s Witnesses have prophesied the end of the world umpteen times and clearly got it wrong, so whatever it is it can’t be very obvious – even to them.
naomi/ jomifl, I have long held the opinion that before Nathan Knoor commissioned a new translation of the bible, he had previously looked anew at the ten commandments. Aha, he thought, thou shall not be arrogant isn't mentioned, and immediately had the Bible rewritten. We are repeatedly told that the bible is the word of God. The Jehovahs witness obviously don't agree, Why else would it be rewritten unless they thought they could do it better than God? Of course with arrogance like that it doesn't matter too much if you get the date of the end of the world wrong.
Why, do you confuse the expression “the end of the world” with the destruction of planet Earth? One reason is the prevalence of such teaching in many of today’s religions.
This is recorded at Matthew 24:3, according to the King James, or Authorized, Version of the Bible: “Tell us, . . . what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”
Other Bible translations help us to understand that the Greek word for “world” (ai•onʹ) used in this text does not refer to the literal earth or to the material universe. Several Bible versions translate the expression as “end of the age,” or as “the final time.” our New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures renders the verse: “What will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”
So It does forecasting a nuclear holocaust or similar,so you still don't know the Bible.
