I was at church on sunday and the minister as part of his sermon was speaking about being confronational and he asked people to put up their hands who like confronation. Well I did and I was the only one to put up my hand. And he stood there and addressed me by name and said yes we know you are confronational especially with the posts you put on facebook please dont do that as I have to not read them because I am not good at confronting things. i was mortified and upset by what he said as everyone was laughing and some did not know where to look nor did I I went home and deactivated my facebook account and now I am thinking about taking time out of church for a few weeks I am offended Am I overreacting

I 100% agree with you. If the poster want's advice on this site he should be prepared for confrontation as he clearly admits to enjoying.
By his own admission he is overweight, he admits his diet is not healthy, most of his posts are whingeing about his health problems, he has dental problems probably due to his poor diet. He is upset about a train drivers strike which upset his travel plans but would not mind if the strike was called on another date as long as it doesn't affect him. Clearly a selfish an individual who wallows in self pity. He is homosexual. That is no crime but should he shower his affections on a happily married man on a public forum i.e. Facebook then he deserves to be publicly admonished. He is a man full of spite and bitterness as his poison birthday card post suggests so he does not give me the impression of a very nice person to know. Looks like the man of the cloth has given up on him. How many times can you advise that God helps them who helps themselves? f this sounds cruel then tough. The man likes confrontation so come back and defend what I have just posted. His self pity is there to read on his personal profile.

I forgot to mention that gordie gets upset and emotional that he has to pay extra for a jacket he likes that he has seen on line for £25 but because he is obese he whinges as he has to pay £40 for a larger size to cater for his size.
Personally I would be ashamed to post that unless I wanted sympathy and being the centre of attraction.

It is a pity that the minister or members of the congregation don't post on here so we can have their views of this incident.
We have heard only one side of this.
We know from previous posts that Gordie makes dramas out of everything.
"Hating the world" for the proposed rail strike, the jacket situation, hating the staff in Tesco, sending nasty letters etc. It never seems to end.
Very sad.
