Hell

FAO Theland and others of his ilk.
Born again Christians believe that unless we believe like they do that we are going to burn in some kind of hell for eternity. Can you please justify such an odious concept/doctrine? (this goes for muslims as well)
I genuinely struggle with this idea. I have a couple of evangelical friends who are the nicest people you could meet but I have to question their sanity when they wish this on unbelievers like myself.

I kind of get some of your posts but the angst ridden ones rarely go in a way you consider constructive which simply acts as inflammatory posts.

You're not far wrong there dunnitall, the planet is becoming like hell.
When you watch some of the Docs on tv, or read about africa, india, china etc , the lands are becoming like a holocaust, with illegal logging, mining for gold, tin, coal, oil etc.

The amount of coal that OZ sends to china is incredible.

IMO yes nailit.....why not question what you feel u r comfortable with, that is why this is here....presumably? I still feel and my opinion only....that there is a difference tween heaven and another place. We are IMO living in the hell....because why is there such awful filth and bad things happening? This is NOT heaven..whatever that represents...it's awful, hellish, filth, cruel and with destruction intent. So...whatever you believe....go with it, nowt will change your mind...you will die as you are meant to....life is (IMO) as it should be xxx

I can concur with what you are saying in your OP, Nailit. As a teenager I attended an Assembly of God church and met some wonderful people in that church. I did become indoctrinated, I feel; being saved, total immersion baptism, receiving the Holy Spirit and fearing for my eternal soul if I 'backslid' The church kept me on the straight and narrow until I got to the age of seventeen and it slowly dawned on me that it was an all-encompassing load of baloney.
