I knew a lot of Christians when I was young, Nailit. Many of them believed in the traditional doctrine of Hell. Strange as it seems, I found most of them far kindlier than their God. (I think that's probably true of Theland)

Yep, have to agree v-e!
Ive got Christian friends. Most definitely kindlier than the god they believe in.
//I've been to Hell. It's about 11 miles south east of Burnley//
I crossed the Mersey (by ferry) to Birkenhead when I was sixteen and the pubs had just shut on a Sunday lunch time. And walked.
Three hours in Birkenhead. Sunday afternoon. Late autumn. Grey and damp. Not as grey and damp as the Mersey. No sound in Birkenhead except shoes on damp pavements. Last real sound the heavy chains as you descend from Pier Head on to the ferry. Liver building - a bit like that thing standing above Rio - behind you.
