If God IS, then all of our big questions about origins, are answered.
If God IS NOT, then the alternative is purely materialistic.
What do you say?
Obviously there are atheists who believe the latter. So please guide me to the evidence for a purely materialistic origin, beginning of life, and evolution.
Please feel free to guide me towards any YouTube videos where atheistic experts can convince me that a purely materialistic scenario is the only option.
I am eager to understand the atheist mindset.

if enough people prophetsise and / or predict then sooner or later some of them will inevitably be correct but most will be incorrect or write complete mumbo jumbo

Johnny - your point being? Are you just shooting from the hip or was that a thoughtful and considered response using your expertise in bible prophecy and the history of Israel.
However, do you have any examples to back up your claim?
if the bible was written, as i understand it by many different persons each with a slightly different approach but then translated through many languages and interpretations and the deciphered many many different people each with their own agenda and interpretation and then updated versions of the same book all with "modern twists " then what most of us experience of The Bible is not what was first intended
but that is only my humble opinion
Theland, //Approach it prayerfully ...//

What does that mean?
on your knees ?
Question Author
It means for believers, asking God to reveal truth and grant us understanding.
Question Author
Johnny - whatever floats your boat.
Theland, if believers must adopt a prayerful attitude in order that all is revealed to them, it follows that those relying upon plain common sense will find the content questionable.

//So read it [the Bible] cover to cover and you will understand it?//

No one suggested that but failing to read it cover to cover means that you’re ignorant of much of its content. It’s quite clear that you have never encountered anything in the bible that rationality has obliged you to question and dispute - honestly.
Question Author
Oh I have had plenty of questions Naomi, and so it continues.
I am forever trying to understand parts of it, and that takes time. Always rewarding though.
But you've never encountered anything that common sense obliges you to dispute. You select only what you want to read.
Question Author
Is this an accusation of something?
I get the feeling I am being cross examined again.
"Johnny - whatever floats your boat."
Theland did you mean My Ark
If you want to discuss the bible you have to be prepared for questions. Have you ever discovered anything in the bible that has caused you to question its veracity - or the omnipotence/compassion/justice/perfection of its main player?
Question Author
Johnny - yes your ark.
And you can kneel, bend, stand or slide on your belly like a reptile, God will welcome you.
yes theland you are nearly correct
but all gods will welcome me
Question Author
Naomi, I fully expect questions, and welcome them as long as they are not put like an interrogation and barbed with aggressive comments.
But to your main point. Yes, over the years I have questioned stuff in the bible that have puzzled me, and some ABers have pointed things out for me, that sent me off on a research mission to resolve the issue.
As long as folk don't try to get inside my head and then misread me, I am happy to discuss.
Theland, I've asked you a simple question - and politely. You haven't answered it.
Theland, I watched as much as I could stand of your video. Yes, the Jews were scattered but they were never ‘lost’ as the presenter, Jeremy Gimpel, claims. Ken Spiro gave you the answer – the same answer I gave you. “They remained a people, not only in faith and religion, but as a family”. That’s why the Jews returned to Israel. There’s nothing mystical about it. Take your own advice and watch it with an open mind. All will become clear.
Question Author
Naomi - Yes there have been things that not only caused me to question the bible, but shocked me and left me decidedly uncomfortable.
I put my trust in the hope that my doubts would be answered, and eventually, with the aid of historians, my doubts were resolved.
This situation still prevails and there are passages that still puzzle me and make me uncomfortable, but learning more and more takes time, and I trust that eventually I will understand.
It is a never ending journey.
Theland, In other words you want to believe - regardless.
