Have you ever tried a Ouija Board - I never have. Some years ago some friends were using one at a party but I refused to get involved. I am not religious but don't want to take any risks with those things.

Some swear that their lives have been ruined by Ouija boards, some scientists say that they work through the ideomotor effect where we move things subconsciously, other say they are a harmless board. I have no idea but would never do one after some of the stories I have heard.

What do you think?

//Lindsay never predicted the end of the world with a date.//
Wise man.
He DID think that it would be in the 80s though.
Read his books as a teenage Christian.
Pile of shiit.
He did not say 80's.
Theland - // Satan is not stupid.
His purpose is always to deceive, make it look ridiculous, and further his own agenda. //

I see you have your 'devout Christian' head back on again - shame it was missing when you were advising that a man who shot himself was a 'bullet well spent' - hopefully your God will be less judgemental.
How can a glass and some letters cut from paper provide a gateway to the ‘other side’, even if the ‘other side’ does exist?
Which it doesn’t.
Andy - Who else should have got that bullet?
It's just a tool. How can a hammer and saw make a chair, even if chairs existed ?
Cleverjo - "which it doesn't " how do you actually KNOW?
Yes Theland, the idea that it's to be avoided because it's somehow evil or dangerous is a joke.
Theland - // Andy - Who else should have got that bullet? //

As an atheist, I would prefer that no-one was shot with a gun, anywhere, ever, but you as a 'devout Christian' were keen to dismiss this man's life as though he deserved to be killed.

I suggest that that decision is your God's to make, not yours.
Andy - I bow to your superior knowledge and sense of morality.
OG - Is your certainty based on evidence?
Theland - // Andy - I bow to your superior knowledge and sense of morality. //

It's nothing to do with superior knowledge and sense of morality - it's to do with a personal sense of honesty, which I possess, and you clearly do not.
I have tried... nothing convincing happened- as I knew it wouldn't. Watch Derren Brown use and explain them. Or just common sense...
Wolfgang - Sorry to learn a few posts back that you lost your husband.
After our recent conversation about Esso I had the impression you were living in happy retirement together.
So very sorry. X
Glym, our ghost is not an it, she is definitely a lady :) She disappears for a while, but always comes home.
" Cleverjo - "which it doesn't " how do you actually KNOW?"
Exactly the same way as you know it exists.
Theland - // OG - Is your certainty based on evidence? //

Why, is yours?
Thank you Andy.
I've seen ghosts all my life, which I shouldn't, because I am a Christian and don't believe in them. They tend not to agree. :D
Theland - // Thank you Andy. //

You don't need to thank me, you do need to stop being a hypocrite.
