When I ask a question, with past experience, I fully expect comments like the following:-

"Yawn."

"Here we go again."

"You've been told before."

"This is not a cinema."

"Bored already."

"Chapter and verse."

"God goggles."

And so it goes on, you know the rest.
This shuts me down, and that is sad.
What is your opinion?

Ok, here's a new one for you. Shut up!! :0) Hope this is a nice change for you.
Theland, you are being shot down in flames because you asked for our opinion on why you get the reaction you do. We are only repeating the statements made over the months that you constantly choose to ignore. If we quote from your Bible, which you say is infallible in spite of admitting you haven't read all of it, we are told we don't understand it or are cherry picking, something you do with consummate ease.
You are constantly asked to explain something you've said which you either ignore or link to some tedious long winded video which in most cases has nothing to do with the question.
You demand proof concerning evolution knowing full well there is a mass of information available on the subject which you ignore but at the same time demand that we prove a negative, ie " prove God doesn't exist". You constantly state you have proof that he exists but for some obscure reason cannot produce it.
Finally when you've exacerbated everybody by answering a question with another question, you remove yourself from the post saying everybody is against you; only to return later with another Question and off we go again.
Theland, I ask very few questions but I hope that my quiet faith comes through to most people. You challenge in a way that only people of some faith can really answer positively - and this invites others to criticise. This must all hurt you a lot and I hope that you will take my words on board. With Christian love... x
D'accord Jourdain. xx
Never talk Politics or Religion
But politics is okay, we live in uneasy times whereas religion is what it is, believers and none believers

Actually a bit like Brexit :0)
"This shuts me down"
but it really doesnt

I have been misquoted on some of these posts which makes me look quite bad, but O can't go through the them all making corrections and defences.
Theland :) x 'Twas ever thus.
Jeez, is another one of Theland’s ‘pity me’ post still going on.
Theland, would you like to respond to any actual posts?

For Pixie from 16:13 - The reason I use videos is that they are experts talking and explaining far better than I ever could.
For example, Ravi Zacharias makes the excellent point that without an objective reality and authority, our morality is groundless.
This is something the late great Bertrand Russel, an atheist struggled with, and Richard Dawkins has now said that there is no good or evil, we just dance to the tune of our DNA.
That makes me very uneasy.
Good.
Question Author
Without authority we have totalitarianism and anarchy.
Theland, I am not interested in watching videos. If you can explain, even partly, what the point is.... maybe. And I would listen to you. If, even you can't work out the point of a video... then I am not interested either x you don't need someone else to explain your views. You k ow them already xx
I think your definition of ‘authority’ needs defining for this debate to be meaningful.
No we don't, theland. We actually have a lot of that "with" authority. Maybe do some other education before pretending we need God?
Question Author
Authority is power that is respected, and obeyed, and feard if transgressed.
I think that is something near the mark.
My reaction to your questions - in whatever category - is that usually you're seeking attention.
Question Author
Whether you think we need Gld or not, the face is, for me, based on evidence, God is there.
Now my job is to decide what to do and how to live with that knowledge.
So God wants (or needs) to be feared? How does that sit with Him being caring?
