When I ask a question, with past experience, I fully expect comments like the following:-

"Yawn."

"Here we go again."

"You've been told before."

"This is not a cinema."

"Bored already."

"Chapter and verse."

"God goggles."

And so it goes on, you know the rest.
This shuts me down, and that is sad.
What is your opinion?

Naomi - Answer me honestly.
Should I refrain from posting on AB?
Authority is the laws we have decided as a civilisation. But the vast majority of people go by their own morals, rather than the law.
If God allows "free will"- ie anyone can do whatever they like... he is the truest anarchist of all?
You do as you choose to do. I do.
Question Author
Naomi - I do not seek attention.
I am a bit upset that you would say such a thing.
You asked for reactions. I gave mine.
You seem very selective about answering questions, sometimes, theland. Anyone might think you aren't too sure... x
Naomi, is 12 years of trying to get some sense out of Theland not enough?

Pixie - By your reasoning our government is anarchist allowing us free will, but if we abuse it and choose wrongly, we pay the price and face justice.
British Clmmon Law allows us to do anything we like except that which is strictly forbidden.
Just like the garden of Eden.
The government doesn’t allow us free will, Theland. What are you talking about?
You could probably go back further than that, Zacs ... if I could remember my previous name.
I was referring to god rather than the government! Are they similar? I thought God was actually supposed to be better than mere humans?
Delilah, wasn’t it? ;-)
Theland....You keep telling us that God has given you free will. So you are at liberty to do as you see fit, without asking Naomi, who has replied appropriately to you. There are other ABers who may have said differently, because you keep pressing your views without any thought that you could be wrong and that perhaps you have been brainwashed at some stage in your life to believe in a make believe.

Hans.
I react to your questions and it seems i'm ignored.

There is a clique in the R&S category and i feel if you're not in it, your views are somewhat less cared about or have less gravity in regards to the thread.

The big egos in R&S, Nailit, Naomi, some others atheist, goodgoalie etc.. seem to be the ones you only wish to engage in, because you know they have strong views.

Any time i've made an addition to your threads they're usually ignored, but i would never come onto a thread simply to be spiteful about you being religious or try to shut it down by saying "There is no god" because who knows if there is or isn't...
Question Author
Spath - many apologies. As you know there are always quite a few for me to respond to, time consuming and sometimes stressful.
I shall look up your posts and respond asap.
Question Author
Nothing else to respond to in this thread Spath.
Will look at others.
Thank you for your interest.
I do understand you are a popular user Theland, and I do understand that you'd rather discuss with those who you feel you understand. I may not be one of those people, as i rarely come into religion and spirituality.

I remember commenting on the fact that the voice of my inner conscious, may be the voice of god.
A bit like the angel on your shoulder?
TheLand, most conflicts going on in the world have religions foundation, just don’t look into religion too deeply, your interpretation isn’t always another’s so there’s no point in questioning it is there?
Question Author
Spath - correction, I am not so much a popular user, but a frequent one.
I welcome any polite comment that does not seek to demean me and I hope you will post more often.
