With Brexit out of the way (?!) can we now turn to more momentous issues? I refer to those posed by St Augustine in reference to Creation; Who made it? By what means? & Why?

Wha???
Agreed, but if a mod is amongst the ones making causing a disruption, how can they be ableto moderate without prejudice?

Oh well, never mind.
Why not? Having an opinion doesn't mean you can't tell what breaks the rules or not.
// Who made it? By what means? & Why? //

1. Satan

2. Black Magic

3. Evil

And why "who?". Unlikely to be a person...
It doesn't matter Pixie, its not our problem and I don't want to derail this thread. I was just surprised (if it's true)
Oh, no need...x
There are not enough well mannered serious posters to keep this thread alive.
I think the presumptions in the questions haven't helped... but it hasn't done badly!
Theland, //Just tell me where the prophecy and the history deviate?
Apparently, Naomi can't.//

It’s not a question that up to yet you’ve asked me. so it’s hardly fair to charge me with failing to answer it. You want to know where the prophecy and the history deviates so it’s history you want? Okay, let’s start with (arguably) the most recent prophecy but unarguably, since it came from what you believe to be the horse’s mouth, the most important…. the one where Jesus told his disciples that he would return in their lifetime. There is no doubt whatsoever that it didn’t happen. No ifs or buts. What’s that I hear? (Not from you of course). There’s no evidence that Jesus existed so that can’t be regarded as ‘history’? Okay. Back further in time, Damascus still exists, Nebuchadnezzar didn't do what he was supposed to do, Egypt has never been laid waste, the Nile has never dried up, and the Kings of Israel haven’t ruled that land continuously. Stop with the prophecies Theland. They’re too easily dismissed. If you want to convince yourself and others, try something else.

And stop with the references to ‘manners’. You are the last one entitled to complain about rudeness.

Pixie, loyalty for personal reasons is commendable … but not when it makes you appear disingenuous. There’s a fine balance.
I don't think it is, naomi. It's what I believe.
Theland, can you explain why there must be a "who"? Where did this conscious mind, with motivations and reasons appear from?
Hmmm.... just something you wrote a little while back with regard to your loyalty. Not something I would expect from an intelligent lady like yourself.
There is... but I also often disagree with his views as well, as I'm sure he does with mine. It's irrelevant though.
Nobody, not mozz, you or I, know which posts or threads any mods remove. And I like facts over presumptions any day (but thanks lol)
Whoosh....
Naomi - I asked you to compare the prophecy of the Jewish nation to their history. That's all, but you have run off with more half baked ideas of your, "understanding," of prophecy.
Try and confine yourself to what I have asked, and put your pride to one side, you know, the thing that forbids you to ever be wrong, and diminish your intellectual standing in this small fish pond.
Your,self aggrandisement is rather tedious.
Ok, I may have missed something then... but my answers are the same. And apply to this thread... making massive presumptions and then asking questions from there, doesn't make sense. It already takes a few leaps of logic to decide a "who" created everything... but khandro is asking us to begin
from there.
What is that is wrong? We would be wildly off.
Theland, also, is presuming that information can only be originated in a mind... without really saying how. Because it clearly doesn't.
I am just getting the feeling that people decide sometimes on what they want to believe, and then go backwards to make everything else "fit" and ignore anything that doesn't.
Pixie - There you go, you have been told now.
Theland, you are being rude. I have seen many people's answers to that. I am not claiming that I can remember or know myself, but I have also never seen any convincing prophecy tales from you... so there is no need to even try to dent them.
Pixie - I am genuinely interested in this notion that information can originate from elsewhere other than a mind.
Do you know of any examples?
I am ready to eat humble pie if you can.
