Before we were born we didn't exist, so time only started at our birth. Perhaps after we die we don't exist, so time would stop then. Eternal life wouldn't be eternal if life had a beginning or an end, so there isn't such a thing. Any thoughts?

I could have written many paragraphs, but just wanted a short cut.
Sorry you didnt like them.
I always think of 'life' as being like a fairground ride - the one with wooden horses particularly.

It's been going around for a very long time, and when it's your turn, you hop on, go around a few times, and hop off again.

The ride was there before you hopped on, it continues after you've hopped off.

The important thing to do is enjoy your ride, and accept gracefully when it's time to go and give someone else your seat.
I’m not surprised you can’t defend them, Theland.
So.... Andy. What you're saying is that life is like a whirligig, you've just to cling on for dear life.
I'm waiting or a new thread to discuss our present situation.
If you’re talking to me, Theland, why do you need a new thread (again) to discuss something you’ve posted on this one ... and what is ‘our present situation’?
Covid?
That’s nothing to do with this thread or the videos you posted here.
Prophecy is happening all around us, faster a d faster.
Matthew 24.
Who’d a guessed? Like the proverbial cracked record and ducking the subject again.
What have I ducked this time?
Anyway, further discussion is pointless.
Matthew 24....there shall be wars, famines, earthquakes etc.
For gods sakes Theland, even Nostadamus could have predicted that.
Even in ancient palestine....
Anyway, back to the OP's question...
How can life be eternal if it had a start point?
It only seems to be eternal when it suits the religious institution at the time.
Trevor at 15.58 - exactly !!

I knew you'd get it!!!
Reincarnation is a fact. I’ve been saying it for lives.
Our life has a clear and definite beginning but it has no end. Time is not relative to our life.
Before we were born we didn't exist is self evident as we have not struggled through eternity to reach this point in time.
EH?
What the hell are the religious talking about?
Beats the hell out of me...
Eternity if forever? Except when it applies to men/man (trying to be PC here)
So forever is eternal but its not for ever?
Eternal is not forever?
What am I missing?
Theland, //What have I ducked this time?//

Any support for those ridiculous videos you posted. A man who was ‘dead’ for three days (note the number) saw the Buddha in hell? And he saw Goliath in hell - and he was .. corr .. everso tall he was … and all because they didn’t follow Jesus. That could have been a bit of a problem for the pair of them considering they lived years before Jesus is alleged to have surfaced, don’t you think? Absolutely pathetic, Theland. I’ll ask my question again - because you ducked that too. Do you ever apply a modicum of reason to your thought processes?

//Anyway, further discussion is pointless.//

Another cop out.
A modicum of reason?
Yes I do, but in the full knowledge that I will be baited to respond. ''Ducked, cop out, etc etc.''
Always a comment from you demanding a response.
No thanks.
Think you can chalk another one up on the side of your spitfire, Naomi :-)
