We Are Living In The End Times
132 Answers
Why are we?
A street preach in my home town today proclaiming the 'End Times'.
JW's on AB preaching the 'End Times'
Evangelicals preaching the 'End Times'
Eh?
Why?
Where does this information come from?
Jesus and St Paul might have thought that they were living in the 'End Times' but the world carried on (for 2000 years)
People during the Great Plague could be forgiven that they were living in the 'End Times'
It must of seemed like it at the time.
People that celebrated the year 2000 could also perhaps be forgiven (Millenium bug etc)
Same with 2012 and the Mayen prophicies etc
World war 1
World war2
were both seen as 'End of the World' prophecies.
Add infunitem....
The world will carry on.
Wars will still abound.
People will still go hungry.
Earthquakes will still happen.
Viruses will still affect us.
And religion will still be irrelevant.

Jews have been returning to the land of Israel in considerable numbers from the mid 19th century.
The Bible doesn't say that every Jew will return and it doesn't say that every Jew will turn to Christ and be saved.
David wasn't a King of Israel? What on earth are you talking about.
Ok Israel is one nation under a president at the current time.
I hardly think that a point worth arguing about.
If you read the End Time discussions such as in Matthew chapter 24 you get a clear sense that the action takes place in Israel and that it is a given that the Jews will be living there

How about stop avoiding the question?
Biblical prophecy has nothing to do with modern day Israel?
Where are the Danites, Levites, Gadites or the other tribes?
The prophecy concerned the unification of ALL the tribes of Israel, not just the jews (of the tribe of Judah in case you need reminding)

Atheists trying to "preach" their viewpoint regarding their opinions proves nothing. The arrogance to make statements which are entirely free of evidence such as "the world will carry on" is completely irrelevant, wholly unscientific and a fascinating insight into the "faith" that atheists have that somehow the earth came into being from nothing and will "carry on".

Except of course that the world will carry on. As its always done after you doom monger's have finished with it.

Spungle, I think that most people think that the world will carry on because it has always carried on. Of course that isn't a proof that it will; after all there were no black swans until they were found in Australia. But it's not a bad rule of thumb. If humans had lived on the premise that the world is about to end, they wouldn't have bothered to survive, but survive they did. Whatever the doom-mongers may say, the mass of humanity behaves as if there will be a tomorrow and in so believing they make that tomorrow come about. Of course, God or an asteroid or a Satan or an alien species might suddenly appear and snuff us out, but healthy people don't live with that as a real fear.
The opinion that "the world will carry on" is just that- an opinion. "Because it always has" is laughably inaccurate. Do the stars which go into oblivion and die carry on "because they always have done"?! Of course not. https:/ /www.sc iencefo cus.com /space/ how-do- stars-d ie/
