G.K. Chesterton.
Pixie - I said I agreed with the idea that we have a built in spirituality, that only God can satisfy fully.
I still believe that.
It was not to mock unbelievers.
I know. My question was more that, if you think that's how a brain works... bearing in mind, nobody is born with a religion, which part do you think is "sacrificed" by religious people, to make room for religion?
G. K. Chesterton, great man, I believe he's standing in line for sainthood
Mamyalynne, if I could give you best answer, I would. Very good. :o)
Too kind, thought I may be chastised for frivolity :-)
Naughty step:-)
You may yet ... but not by me.
By popular request, BA to Mamya, if I can find the ticket :-)
Can I take a cushion Pixie?
Just this once... if your elbows don't suffice:-)
Can't see the ticket here.
I owe you :-)
Cleans up spilt coffee!
:-))
Khandro, just out of interest, what do you think Chesterton did that’s worthy of sainthood?
Theland, can I ask you what "spirituality" means, in your view?
Pixie - it is in short very anecdotal and experiential, that grows upon investigation and finding the satisfying knowledge that God is with me.
Others will express it differently of course.
Short answer does not do it justice.
I'll read a long answer too... is it purely to do with god? Is it always supernatural? In your opinion.
Nailits thread.
He has the tickets :-)
I thought G.K Chesterton was a Nazi sympathizer, or have I got the wrong guy.
