Following on from the horrific news of a little boy killed by lightning -
I am genuinly intrigued to hread how any of our Christian contributors can begin to reconcile this tragedy with the notion that their 'loving' God, who clearly allowed it to happen, could let such a loss be felt by his parents and family.
1 What does 'predicated' mean?
2 Are you arguing that the world was perfect when humans didn't know about sex? If so, I find that bizarre; sex is how humans (and all other earthly animals) reproduce and provide god with more 'victims'
Atheist - // If so, I find that bizarre; sex is how humans (and all other earthly animals) reproduce and provide god with more 'victims' //
I'm sure it cannot be coincidence that the Catholic Church has such an obsession with sex, and with the notion that sex is a 'sin' - an attitude copied by a lot of fervent C Of E ministers and high-profile believers.
And now the tsunami of points of order, questions about previous answers and so forth, and the near impossible task of satisfactorily answering them all.
Anyway point one, I rarely copy and paste, and did not do so today.
Predicated - vanilla with a twist of lemon.
Theland - // And now the tsunami of points of order, questions about previous answers and so forth, and the near impossible task of satisfactorily answering them all. //
I merely asked for your view - feel free to swerve if you wish.
Oh come on Andy! Feel free to swerve?
Take whatever it is from wherever it is and let it all go with a laugh!
(You're not German by any chance are you?)
Anyway, my view on Williams view ... Puff ... Pant .... Is ....
God remains on His throne as always and is therefore sovereign in all matters for all matters in every part of His creation.
Naomi @ Monday 16:15 :-
Regarding the blood sacrifice, you seem to be missing a point here.
We modernists may try to shun Gods requirement for the blood sacrifice in some mock belief that we are more sophisticated than that.
But you are forgetting that blood is the currency of mankind.
All of our debtors demand blood, and those we revere are those prepared to shed their own blood for us.
The world in 2021 is still a seething stock market that deals only in blood.
The good news that we have is that One was prepared to shed His blood for us All.
what about 98 dead footie fans at Hillsborough - surely andie's ( morning Andie! ) argument is magnified 9 times nay 99 times - how this rank injustice is cannot be God's plan but stands out as a canker in the History of this country - God cannot exist - there cannot be a plan
is there another side of the argument
who is it that wrote
" As usual, new judge has pinned down the point at issue, and argued it superbly, I would award him BA were it a thread I had originated." - so Justice prevails ! The result is superb ( sic ) - it MUST be a best answer ! surely readers this is an example of Gods Plan and how he shows us he exists ! and rules !
// sex is how humans (and all other earthly animals) reproduce//
er you have forgotten asexual reproduction which is NOT only seen in plants ( vegetables to the average ABer - no read again - I am NOT saying the average ABer IS a vegetable but perhaps I should - ter daah )
// As usual, I have not the faintest idea what you are talking about.//
andie there is madman using your monniker ( name that is!) praising the grossly unjust decision in the Hillsborough case
report him
I should have realised that the posts of the so called Andie ( not you!) were the ravings of a crazed lunatic (DJ or someone) - but I confess I was completely taken in ! - - - double sozza
Naomi @ 11:28 - Twaddle? Sophisticated? Erm .... No!
There is not one dispute going on in the world that is not being settled either in blood or the threat of blood.
Even our border down the Irish Sea is because of the threat of blood being spilled by the IRA should we have a hard border.
Your twaddle comment is lazy, ill conceived, and is itself twaddle!
//Theland, how does blood being spilt between men justify God’s barbaric scheme?//
naomi...
The prince of peace did like his blood though.
Only got to read the Bible to see that...
