Only the bible has verifiable prophecies that can be tested for truth.
Is it not time to take the bible seriously?

Nostrodamus is a derogatory term that simply emphasises the derision you hold for something so fantastic that you find it unbelievable.
Not because are unintelligent, but because you have not delved into it with any seriousness.
Serious in depth study brings its own rewards.

Have you ever thought that they are wasting their youth doing that? What intellectual stimulus is there in memorising without thinking? Why don't you read the book of nature, the book of the real world? Reading what other people tell you to believe is surely a denial of your own intellligence. I implore you in the bowels of Christ to admit that you might be wrong! Do not betray whatever clever sod might have created you (and, as an afterhought, the universe) by parroting without thinking.

How can I make myself love it?
It DEMANDS love. (verses available upon request...too many to name in one go)
Just can't quiet bring myself to that point of giving my love because it demands it.

Atheist, sorry to disappoint, but I have, as a layman, tried my very best to learn from a wide variety of subjects, including of course the bible.
But faith without knowledge is blind faith, something you infer in your post.
My faith is well founded on everything I have learned, and I think atheism is unfounded and based on nothing.
Learning by rote as in the examples you quote is lacking in knowledge and is not appealing to me or anybody with an ounce of common sense.
