There is a lot of anti-muslim feeling here on AB, and also some anti-christian feeling. I'd be interested to hear from muslims who have thoughts on this.

"Have people been killed for giving a straight answer on this forum, mibn2cweus ?...-- Naomi - Haha! In a manner of speaking, SevenOP, yes, they have. "

Pleas do elucidate naomi, .., or is that, "on this occasion, a figure of speech".

Turns out it didn't go over too well at the mall either.
Back to my question;
are you talking about the 'j' word mibn2cweus ?

Are you genuinely afraid to give an honest answer ?
//is that, "on this occasion, a figure of speech". //

Neither. It's speaking metaphorically.
I've just checked, a metaphor is a figure of speech so...
Hmmm ...yes ... but that doesn't quite fit here.

No. The laws don't work that way... if it's about criminal behaviour, being scared 8f being called a racist, is a cowardly excuse

Complete rubbish
It is entirely the reason that police forces did not tackle Asian grooming gangs much sooner for fear of being deemed racist
That is a proven fact
SB, surely that's even more cowardly for them to let that continue, for fear of being called racist? Or are you suggesting it was an acceptable reason?
NAOMI, is the use of "killed" not an example of hyperbole which is another figure of speech?
Cue a joke about American Football...
Sigh ....
//Or are you suggesting it was an acceptable reason? //

I don't think for one moment Sticky is suggesting that Pixie. I can't imagine why the thought even entered your head. That really is one giant leap.

You need to stop wearing that rose tinted monocle and use both eyes to take a look at the real world going on around you
Pretty much every police force in this country is terrified of the race card being played against them and it is the main reason for paralysis when those crimes first came to light
That is why one female detective Constable said enough is enough and blew the whistle
Less chance of a female being called racist than a male officer
Unless you are suggesting that's acceptable, I suspect we are agreeing. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm saying it shouldn't be happening.
I'm not even a paid, professional police officer... and even I would report, or do something, about someone I was sure was a paedophile, no matter what colour. I think most people would. I'm not sure why you are trying to excuse this?
Naomi, try reading first, for a change.

I suspect we do not live in the same universe let alone on the same planet !

No need to be rude pixie. I did read it - and I read your latest. Firstly sticky isn’t trying to excuse anything - and he’s not talking about paedophiles - so I have no idea what you think you’re reading.
I wasn't being rude, naomi. You were. I asked a question. I suggest in future, if you don't understand a post, just ask for clarification, rather than just making inaccurate presumptions.
Interesting, sb. The idea of professionals feeling too intimidated to prevent child-grooming, would never be acceptable to me. I'm glad I'm not on your planet!
