Ab Carol Concert 2022
41 Answers
Time again for my one regular thread - the AB Carol Concert - and as always my thoughts turn to those no longer with us. Remembering my very good friend, writer, film-maker and all round bon viveur, Chakka35; the inimitable Mikey to whom I was virtually engaged for several years - albeit a bit of a volatile relationship; the quite brilliant Vetuste_Ennemi, whom the comedy genius that was Mrs.O insisted upon renaming Enema; the legend that was AOG wherever he may be, and this year special thoughts go to Danny, a genuinely nice man and a popular mod who was here daily but who disappeared suddenly and is greatly missed.
Others, of course, are remembered but I know some would like to express their own thoughts for their own people so please feel free to add your own commemorations and carols or simply your messages for your fellow ABers at this lovely time of year.
I've posted this before on these annual threads but you've got it again simply because I can't resist it. Don’t you just love children, especially at Christmas? I do.
Merry Christmas everyone. My very best wishes to all.

It's called "Shchedryk" which means "bountiful".
The English version is known as "The Little Swallow". It's a traditional children's story often told at Christmas.
I usually find I have something in my eye whenever I hear it.
Even though I have no children, I do admit to being a right softie.
Actually.... somewhere on a spectrum between sensitive soul.......
........... and Sap of the Month.
But I don't care ;o)

Yes, it's a time when I remember those who are no longer around, both here in AB and in my life.
Here's a favourite carol.
