Your welcome. My brains been scrambled on here lol.... Back to Life of Brian for me hehe ;-) and out of curiosity....
is that why the spaceship is in it? Ezekiel link?
Wizard, why don't you speak to your doctor or to the hospital about it. You'll get a more definite answer than ABers can give - and I'm sure they'll sort it out for you.
Wizard, Ezekiel understood how chariots worked - he was familiar with those. He knew they didn't move of their own accord, and therefore weren't living beings. I don't think these people made stories up about gods - they simply recorded what they saw in the best way they could. I'm pretty sure their gods weren't really supernatural and their ideas had to come from somewhere, . What you believe, or how open minded you are is up to you - as I said I'm not in the business of convincing people to believe what I believe.
Beryllium, what are your thoughts on religion?
False religion does.
when some religious leaders say a person will burn forever in everlasting hellfire...need I name the religion???...it shows they know NOTHING of what the bible really teaches.
Revelation 20; 14 says;
(REVELATION 20:14) And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.

Now 'Hades' is Greek for Hell.
so death and hell are to go into a type of fire.
What happens when anything is put in a fire? It is destroyed.
so Hell is to be destroyed.
So why is it linked with death?
The only thing linked with death is the grave/
So Hell = grave
But God
has promised he will do away with death.
(REVELATION 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

So are those so called devout leaders doing what is correct.?
You cannot teach what you do not know.
Wizard - just a ps. I didn't say things that moved, I said 'things that moved for no obvious reason' or 'independently'. Ezekiel knew a chariot didn't do that.
pugwashjw, Christianity is false - and all its preachers are teaching what they don't know.
I think the only people drowned in guilt and fear(in relation to the question) are people that let it.
Whether they are religious or not.
It may of been a totally different and more sinister story hundreds of years ago but over all, I still think there are many peddling the fear and guilt trip on others today but in a different way.

Hi Naomi,
I do not follow any religion. If I were to put a title to how I live my life and my beliefs now, it would be loosley based on Buddhism.
and I have far to go.....

I posted this up a while ago as I like to read a quick, tongue in cheek, summary of them all....

I am interested in Philosophy.

I don't feel I fit into anywhere... but.....Do I really have to?
It's ironic that you should mention Paul, Theland. Christianity is most certainly a man-made religion and the man who made it was Paul! Until Paul started writing his epistles (in about AD55) no-one had heard of a miracle-worker called Jesus. It was Paul who first told the story of Jesus being the son of God, who was crucified and rose again. And it was Paul who promised that everyone who believed that story would also have everlasting life. That marked the invention of Christianity. Jesus does not need to have existed and there is no evidence that he did.
Hi Beryllium, I must admit, I'm drawn towards Buddhism too - and I don't fit in anywhere either - and no, I don't think we do have to. At least we have minds of our own, which is more than can be said for many.

Thanks for the link.
naomi...my apologies for misunderstanding what you said
Wiz, not at all.
