Halal meat what religion etc

I was on the bus the other day and was noseying into someones conversation and a lady was saying because of her husbands religion they only eat Halal meat and something about killing sheep when a new baby arrives, i only caught part of it and found it quite interesting, i'm curious as to what religion this refers to and if anyone has anymore information, thanks!

Muslims eat Halal meat. The animals throat is cut and then drained.

Halal meat is Islamic. It is a barbaric practice whereby the animal is not stunned before slaughter. Although mad muslims claim this is actually kinder, the animal can suffer a slow and painful death, literally screaming until it dies.

If you have a strong stomach you can watch this barbaric torture of live animals on the BNP website. Although I abhor the BNP, I strongly follow their stance against this practice. I shall not post a link but if you go to their website and click on news it will be there somewhere.

Many high street stores have banned Halal from their shelves, and rightfully so. I do not wish to bring politics in to your question but Halal killing shows what a barbaric and vicious religion Islam is. Even their Sunday roast is filled with their vile hatred.

The "halal cut" is like a kosher butcher. The animal had to have its throat slit with a clean sharp object. It's meant to be as qucikly and as painlessly as possible. It's now worse than our modern slaughter houses and the idea is that the animal dies with dignity. If you saw what went on in some of our slaughterhouses then you would probably pick a Halal or Kosher slaughterman most days of the week.

OMG, that video is vile, but thank you so much for posting it, even though it had me literally sobbing I now know what it is about, i was just about to ask if our slaughter methods are more humane than that but goodsoul has just answered it for me, for the first time in my life i'm seriously considering going vegetarian, how can anyone be so barbaric, surely cutting the leg tendons is done more ofr sick pleasure than any religious reasons

The traditional animal activist wouldn't like our slaughterhouses run by "good" white Christian men. They wouldn't like your hunting either Wardy.

Although Im off meat at the moment, I know that the meat that I used to eat was slaughtered in the most dignified way possible. My stepdad is so fussy about how the animals are treated he stays with his cattle all the way through that process.

Animal aid dont like us stunning our cattle as don't many other animal rights groups. All huddled together whilst they get a bolt shoved into their brain (which often takes more than one go), pigs having heart attacks on the floor becuase they are so scared only to be slaughtered by some grubby kid who mocks the animals with bad humour to get round the fact that they are doing a horrid job. Sounds like a great way to die.

I'm not in favour of either but it's not dont slaughter animals halal or kosher style and the animals will live a long happy life in a sunny pasture.

Are chickens in pakistan stuffed in cages and sat in their own urine for 6 weeks before its slaughtered and on the local supermarket shelf? Probably not!

As I said, this is not an Islamophobic rant, but the entire religion is based on hate for ALL things living. I could post pictures of muslims raping children in mosques, but I shall not as it is illegal.

But the marxists will still praise these utterly vile people.

I love animals and all things wildlifey. Yet I eat meat. I will NEVER eat halal, fois gras or veal.

I would not advocate vegetarianism but many butchers and supermarkets sell "humane meat", i.e free range. ALL organic meat will be humane.

I agree with the fois gras, it is vile the way they force feed the bird, unfortunatley have eaten veal as went to bulgria on an all inclusive & it was the only thing on the bloody buffett!

And I am not really a seasoned "hunter". I shoot birds and fish fish which I ALWAYS eat. I also never shoot at range for fear of only maiming an animal.

I shot a deer when I was younger and although it was a clean head shot, I feel guilty to this day. But we ate the entire deer.

Also in Army survival training I used to go and club my units rabbits because the thought of them sufferring all night in a snare upset me so much (Don't tell the Brig!!!)

All organic meat might have lived a "humane" life that doesnt stop it being slaughtered in a terrifying way for the animal.

Pingu, if you know any local farmers ask them which is the best slaughterhouse and find out which butchers get their meat from them. That's what I do but I would recommend butchers meat over supermarket. A cheap cut of brisket from the butchers is probably nicer than silverside from the supermaket anyway.

Thanks for the advice goodsoul, i do get most of meat from butchers so i'll ask around, i dont know much about organic apart from the chickens costing 7 quid each from asda last time i looked which i just cant afford!

Nope don't have room for alot in it due to all my little ones toys! wouldn't want chickens anyway always fancied a pot bellied pig though!

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I actaully find the raping of kids more barbaric than their animal slaughter, but as I said I won't say anymore.

A pig sounds fine but I can guarantee that the kids will treat it like a pet and you will love it too much to make sausages from it!!!
