Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

I really am very often impatient to post and so the word document goes to the bottom of the pile ..... and then I get disappointed. But how do I post a fancy link into a word document? Eh? Eh? Eh?

Theland, Over-lapping circle thing . . . brilliant example! I would also suggest that as long as we do not stray unduly from the area to which we share a mutual understanding based on common experience, relating to and learning from each other will tend to broaden the area subsumed by the over-lapping portion.

Like Naomi, I too am busy dashing around, but unlike Naomi, I'll tell you why, because I bet you are dying to know.
Well, I'm trying to do magic tricks with the finances, as well as trying to get a job. Virtually every shop I go in to I'm asking for vacancies. So far, Boots, Homebase, Poundstretcher and Sports Direct all hold out some promise, so I'm off to the GP in the morning to get signed off, and go on to job seekers allowance, and then ......... hopefully land a job ..... Chief Executive of a multi national ......... Open heart surgeon .......... film star ......... wheelie bin inspector ........... diamond studded flunky to some posh git with more money than sense ...... oh the list is endless.
Then I sat in front of my bank manager today and persuaded him to lend me �1500 to get a few jobs done in the house, on the promise that I really will be working soon, (oh you've got to be optimistic and hard faced haven't you?) Just hope I don't default!
Life is getting dangerous and exciting ..... and I don't think I like it much!

Theland, I include my funny links in a Word document, and it works. I'm lost with technology, so I can't explain why. All I know is if you type it all in the right order, and include your links, it works. Let's hope your future posts don't disappear!! Whoosh!!

It's true - things could always be worse - and I suppose your faith does give you some kind of confidence and courage - but being the intelligent person you are, you must know, deep down inside, that only you can deal with the issues that present themselves throughout life, and that your God is merely a not so innocent by-stander who will do absolutely nothing to resolve any situation. He never has, so why continue to expect him to suddenly come up trumps? If you were true to yourself, and could get to grips with the realities of life and take responsibility for yourself, surely you would admit that apart from being something to share a quiet and, perhaps, a spiritual moment with, he's a great disappointment.
Still with Theland. When is your interview with that legal company?

China, why are you getting tattoos? Of course, it's up to you, but personally I think they are rather trashy. However, the nicest I've seen was one girl with a little tattooed butterfly on her shoulder - very pretty - and someone with a few stars (in ever diminishing sizes) on her foot. There's a lady at the pool where I swim every morning who has tattoos up her arms and legs - and it looks just awful. What about going for those tattoo sticker things that aren't permanent? At least that way, if you change your mind, you aren't stuck (sorry!) with it. (Good luck with the job, by the way. Let us know how you get on, won't you).

A Taize service.
Some years ago, when I used to attend the local C of E, the vicar organised a Taize service. All new to me. Taize, a community founded by brother Roger in France, an ecumanical community. He was stabbed to death just a few years ago, aged 90, by a maniacal woman at one of his services.
Anyway, our church was decked out with candles, there was lots of chanting and very eerie music, but all very beautiful, and very relaxing. I suppose it gave one space and focus for reflection, but there was nothing in it that was particularly Christian as such, but if you ever get the chance to attend a Taize service, it is worth it, just the once, for the experience.
