Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

He's still 'orrible', Theland, but he's heading for a fall. I've been doing his work, quietly picking up everything that he is supposed to do, but doesn't, just so that it gets done - and I've been meeting myself coming back in the process - but not any more. I'm sticking to my own job now - and if his stuff doesn't get done, then it doesn't. He'll have nowhere to hide in future, so we'll see what happens.
How's the job? Are you getting into the swing of being back to work? And are you still looking for something a little less stressful?
After reading yours and China's 'look-alike' posts, I had a quick look for pictures of someone who looks like me, but I couldn't find any. I must be unique!! :o)

If I had a web site, I'd gladly post my ugly mug on there to give you a laugh.
Any suggestions?
Naomi, the first week was damned hard. It is a very physical job, lots of lifting and climbing, and extensive use of the big hammer.
There is an overtime ban on at the moment, a dispute over pay, so I got the weekend off for which I am grateful, to recuperate, but once it's lifted, It will be seven days a week.
It will take some getting used to.
But, it's good to be working again, and not being beholden to the benefits system. That's no way to live.

Naomi, I subscribe to a quarterly magazine calle, "Light for The Last Days."
It is published by an evangelical Christian, Tony Pearce, and his wife.
It is very good, and shows how world events, particularly in the Middle East, are becoming more and more congruent with Bible prophecy.
Given your interest in all things, "religious," it would be a good, but small investment to make to sign up for this publication, and request a few back copies.
Here is the web link.

The global politics of oil / Iran / Israel / Islam etc are definitely food for thought.
Tony is located in your neck of the woods, in Golders Green, so if you look him up, he would be delighted to talk to you personally.

China, it's really difficult to find a picture of someone I look like, but I'll keep trying.
I'll have a look at your link, Theland, but if Tony is an evangelical Christian, my first instinct is to shy away. With all due respect to you, Evangelical Christians rarely seem to look at things from all angles, or from a rational viewpoint. I sense before I've looked that this man is going to tell me all the problems in the middle east were prophesied in the bible. Hardly objective, is it? I may be jumping the gun, but they always try to make circumstances fit their agenda - a bit like Muslims really. They see reason and logic in their arguments too - but I'm damned if I can. Anyway, I'll get back to your tomorrow on it. (By the way, I don't live anywhere near Golders Green - I'm quite a long way from London).
Surely working 7 days a week can't be compulsory. It must be a choice. Yes?
I've just watched War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. (Well, with my husband actually, but you know what I mean). Not bad - silly, but entertaining.
China, have you ever had your eyebrows waxed? (Sorry boys, it needed to be asked).
Mibs, where are you? Are you still speaking to us?
Night everyone. Sweet dreams. x

Hey Naomi,
I have actually. In fact it's my chosen way to keep my eyebrows in shape and I'm so used to doing it I now do my own with the strips in the shops. I highly recommend it... I absolutely hate plucking and the shape always looks neater.
I'm actually getting some free cosmetic surgery done next week as it goes by one of the girls I work with and one of the things I'm having done is eyebrow tattooing so I'll let you know how that works out.
I have had a really ****** day! Smoking would help I'm convinced of it.

Naomi, I'm here obvi*usly but I cannot come to the phone right now. My brain is saturated with life's demands and you wouldn't want to hear the things what few brain cells I can afford to spare have to say. I'll be back when I can spare the resources to thoroughly consider the possible interpretations of what I'm about to submit for your approval and can properly redress these things which are so easily misunderstood and for which I will hopefully in the future be provided an adequate opportunity to explain.
Until then I hope you will not continue to confuse me with the person I claim not to be. Enjoy the calm fresh air and sunshine. I'll be along to stir up the pot again with my questionable communication skills before you know it.
I'm not through with this thread yet . . . ~o">

Oh, China, what happened? Hope all's well with the job - and I hope tomorrow's better.
My friend just had her eyebrows tattooed - and she loves the result. Good luck. I'm pleased I asked you about waxing - I'll get it done professionally though. Don't trust me to do it - I'd probably end up permanently surprised!!!!
Theland, sorry, I haven't been able to look at your link. My internet connection has been down all day. I only got it back tonight. Anyway, I'll have a look tomorrow, and get back to you.

The jobs fine but today just had a lot of phone calls and not one of them was straight forward so not knowing enough was a real hinderence. I don't much like beiing the new girl. Then it took me two hours to get home for God knows what reason and finally when I did get home there were three horrible letters waiting for me which resulted in a rather tetchy phone call on my part and some frustration tears which I think were mainly the product of an all in all ****** day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Waxing is great, I also recommend gettiing your eyelashes tinted if you swim a lot, beats the panda eyes look!

Aha! There you are mibs - albeit on an answering machine. I look forward to sampling the results of your next recipe.
China, Being the new girl isn't good, but take heart - you won't be the new girl for long - you'll soon learn the ropes. Why is it that on some days the problems just pile up? They don't come in little bits, do they? They all come together. Maybe it just appears to be that way because if one thing's gone wrong, any additional hitches that life throws at us at that time seem ten times worse than they really are. I hope today is better. x
Theland, I've had a quick look at your link - and it appears to be just as I suspected. Someone's taking me to the hairdressers this morning - it's about 25 miles each way, so too far for me to drive with my wonky foot - but I'll investigate Tony further later on and get back to you. I'm sure I'll have more to say about it then. :o)

Theland, The real problem with this is, like anything Christian Evangelists produce, it doesnt take an objective view. It doesnt look for any other possible explanation - it simply assumes that these prophesies apply to events happening in the world today, and that they are absolutely accurate, when in actual fact much of it could be attributed to perhaps, the ramblings of religious cranks, or to people under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs - particularly in the case of John.
This is not a warning of things to come - its a threat - and it says if you dont believe, youre doomed, but read our booklet and well tell you how to save yourself. Ive read it all before - and on an impressionable mind, its dangerous stuff. I dont like it one bit. In fact, I feel very sorry for Jesus. As Ive said before, Im convinced that, as a devout Jew, his aim was not to found a new religion - so what on earth (or even in heavens name) do so-called Christians think theyre doing? Can you honestly say you believe he intended to found a new religion?
We will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and be forever in His presence. Tony doesnt give a biblical reference for this sentence, and Im not at all sure it comes from the bible, but if I considered it to be a prophesy and looked at it from my point of view - believing as I do - Id say that its telling us that we were going into space, just as Elijah did - and I could find a lot more that could be interpreted in a similar way.

mibs, I've just read your last post again.
I hope you will not continue to confuse me with the person I claim not to be.
You don't claim to be anyone - which is why you are such an enigma - well, if not to China, to me.
I'm in a pensive mood tonight as you've probably guessed.
No news from Theland, no news from China, but it's probably too early for those nightowls.
Well, to whoever comes along later - sleep tight, and sweet dreams. x
