I see this as the wonderful art of predicting events after they have happened.
Throughout history, we have read and learnt about nations fighting nations, earthquakes, false prophets and lots and lots about Israel. It is much like the writings of Nostradamus. In its vaguest sense it is all-encompassing and with very little imagination can be applied to any event in any time past or present. And because it is all-encompassing, the future as well. Very clever way of writing, mind.
Mystic Meg always used to predict lottery winners whose name began with a J. Now considering the number of people named Joe, John, James, Jane etc, it is highly unlikely with that sweeping generalisation that she could ever be wrong. She never said a name and she never said how much. Damnit! the woman couldnt even tell us the numbers.

Hi Guys, prophesies are always strangely vague, and can often be applied to any number of situations. People who seek their fulfilment will fit them wherever it suits - even if they have to twist them slightly.
One which is highly acclaimed is that which declares that the Messiah would be born of the House of David. If Jesus had indeed been the Messiah, and had he been Joseph's son, his followers could have truthfully declared the prophesy fulfilled. However, since Jesus was reputed to be the Son of God, he couldn't possibly have been born of the House of David, and therefore the prophesy remains unfulfilled. The 'Biblical Prophesies brigade' have scored a bit of a home goal with that one.

I predict in advance that no one here (or there) will wake up dead in the morning (or at some time past four), no matter how much they might wish they had, that is, if they wake up (or in my case sleep) at all, inclusive of all that were previously dead to begin with or at some point following their birth unless they just happen to be the rare exception I pointed out earlier to those lacking the aftersight to invision the past.
Here is wisdom, let he with understanding reckon the number of failed apocalyptic prophesies for it is a human failing. It's number is three score and three

I can not bet on biblical prophecies as bible was invaded by the historians and story tellers (everyone knows that).
I believe in the prophecies in Quart and by Muhammed (pbuh). If someone is interested then you may read this.

As I said above, I think with this second coming thing, Christians (or anyone else) wouldnt really accept that he had returned and was in their presence.
And in doing so they would be able to predict after the event oh, it was him after all. At least he left us his sandal or shoe, or is it a gourd..its a sign at least.
