Just another question I have!

Slightly confused as Jesus was born a man and speaks to God, so they cant be the same?

If we pray to Our Father, Son and Holy Spirit are we praying to 3 different people (u know what I mean?)

I can understand your confusion. In simple words, no Jesus (pbuh) is not God or Son of God. If he was then he is dead. So would you like a God which dies? He was a human like many others, would you like a God where there are many others like him?

He was no doubt a prophet of God sent to tell people about God and give them the guidance they needed.

Makes sense, but I have just read on a Catholic website that they are of the same - that Jesus was God in "man form"

Why should Jesus not have been the Son of God? He claimed to be and bore it out pretty well too.

As to whether Jesus IS God, that is a largely doctrinal thing, and doesn't make much difference to matters of faith.

Badnews, Jesus was a man. He wasn't Christian, and he wasn't Muslim. He was a Jewish rabbi.

Keyplus, 'he was no doubt a prophet of God'. Not true. Since you have no proof to support that statement, doubt exists..

Gormless, you've said before that Jesus claimed many times to be the son of God, but when asked to produce the evidence, you disappeared. To my knowledge, Jesus is said to have made this claim only once, and that was at his trial, but since none of his followers were present to record the details, and there is no other evidence, this cannot be viewed as reliable. Can you offer other references?

Yes I must admit that the more you look at it (Chistian's call it the trinity) the stranger it seems and the less evidence you find that Christians actually have for it.

It's a case of having you cake and eating it. Christians want to follow Jesus as divine but at the same time want to be a monotheistic faith.

So we get the idea that Jesus is somehow "part of God" (they say "Son of" but obviously that's not the same sort of son that we're familiiar with.)

It all gets even more contrived with Easter wher you end up with a part of God (Jesus) expressed as a man being crucified to same mankind from the other part of God.

I think Christians effectively "partition" their notion of Jesus and on a daily basis think of "him" as a seperate entity - but at the back of their mind keep the notion that there's only one God.

The Bible tells us that the part of God that is called the Holy Spirit created God's human body inside of a woman named Mary. God went into this human body that grew inside of Mary. The baby was born and grew into a man.

I suppose it is as confusing as your marriuage to a husband who is a Roman Catholic reverend who lives in Ghana and you never see. The world is full of mysteries.

Catholic dogma: there are three persons in one God: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. This is the Blessed Trinity and is a Divine Mystery, Simple really!

Jesus was born a Jew, and died a Jew. no such thing as christianity then, so who made him a God/.

Jesus Christ is the son of God and the leader of Christianity.

Terambulan, Jesus was never the leader of Christianity. He was a devout Jew, and as such, would have been horrified by the idea of founding a new religion. Nowhere does he even hint at such a suggestion. Men who came after him elevated him to the position you claim for him, and men who came after him wrote those words.

I have no way of reading Jesus' mind, naomi, but as I recall, he was pretty clear about coming from God and being different. He may have thought he was part of the Jewish tradition; we can see that he was also part of something else.
