That was pretty much what I was trying to say NOX...you said it so much better though :-)x
It's funny actually Ummm I was talking about exactly this with my ex's new bloke over Christmas ( he's the one who does the once yearly stint in the orphange), and he said that the local Catholic mission near the orphange where he goes falls over themselves to undermine a lot of what they do, which really appalled me. Snot good:(
Nox....I can picture the scene:

Ngobi come home p1ssed.......into the mud hut, strips Ebbelee off throws her to the mattress leaps on top and says"

"My darling, the Catholic Church forbids me to use a condom otherwise I would "

Whaaam!!!!!

It has nothing to do with religion ( in practice)
Sqad...you're not religious...so how do you know?
It has everything to do with religion Squad, as religion can and is used as a moral lever in many circumstances like it or not.
And in many family's in Ireland...even after 10+ children the priests are still telling them no to contraception.
ummmm.....just a guess.......just a guess!

Nox....maybe!
ummmm...so how many of the 10+ have got AIDS?

That is what the question is about...religion and the spread of AIDS:
That's true as well Ummm, after the birth of our first son, my first wife said ' I don't want anymore children' I said okay fair enough and then she out and outly refused to use any form of protection when we had sex and then blamed me when she got pregnant- all down the local moron priest again.
You're guessing wrong. There are many many Catholics that still do as they are told.
Nox.......again.....nothing to do with the question which was about AIDS.
But religion Squad affects the spread of Aids, that is a well documented fact, because the Catholic church prohibits the use of condoms and the lack of using condoms leads to an increase in the spread of the HIV virus.
Would it not though have everything to do with the spread of HIV if I for example had been HIV positive Squad (which I'm thankfully not)?
Also at which point did it become illegal for a conversation on a topic to diversify and who put you charge of pointing that out to people?
That's why I used Africa as an example and not Ireland Sqad. Aids is not rife in Ireland...
NOX....yes it does....but Catholics who are "putting it about with or without condoms" are not going to take notice of the Pope.

So, whatever the religion says, they are going to carry on their life style....!!
Yes Sqad...but their wife might be listening to what the Pope says.
Yes but if you actually bothered to read my initial comment I pointed out that the perpetrator for want of a better word may not be religious at all- it does not stop religion being used a moral lever with women he might sleep with.
Snap Ummm
ummmm....so how will the wife listening to the Pope........hasten the spread of AIDS?

It is not up to her......unless, you are suggesting........that she is" putting it about as well"
Are you doing this on purpose?

Her husband might put it about. He has aids...he then sleeps with his wife without protection because her religion forbids them...Or their religion...but it's her that following the rules of the religion.
