okay religious people, can you explain to me why your God lets such bad things happen, please? I am bemused.
apart from what we hear/see on the news, I had a terrible childhood, I've grown up and seen such bad things happen to good people (and vice versa), and this week my daughter's 16 year old friend died in a dreadful accident.
I'm not after sympathy.. you've probably all been through something similar.
but why does your God allow such things to happen?

sorry to hear about that sara, it just doesnt seem right does it?, whilst Im not a believer in a specific "god" or the whole adam and eve story, I do believe in life after death because I have been visited by a few of them! and I was not drunk or hallucinating. I believe we have to learn lessons in this life and when we have learnt it we then move on.

yep, nuts..

thanks cazzz, I've also had some unexplained ghostie incidents, but nothing too scary.

I hope we move on to better things x
Thank God im an Atheist!!! its fine for children to have an imaginary friend but come on, we are adults on here mostly, leave all this crap where it belongs, in the book of fairy stories.
Yes, im sorry but ghosties belong in the same book! :-)
are you new to ab ?
Who me?
:-) yes very new xx
If there is a god, he, she, it isn't trying very hard. There has been quite a bit of backsliding these last couple of millenia. I think he..etc has just lost interest, probably been sidetracked by another little universe he.. is working on. Lets hope he... makes a better job. if that is what he.. is doing. I expect that even now it is going through the smiting, destruction, killing phase. which he.. seems to find so appealing. We seem to have almost got over that bit..
I do not and never have believed in God, it's a myth!.............he's not there, never has been!..........fairy story, as far as I can see!.............
Life is meant to be "a vale of tears" otherwise if nothing bad ever happened we would be living in paradise already - instead of the paradise that awaits us.
Question Author
so we're meant to be sad and miserable?

marvellous.
why can't we skip this 'vale of tears' existence and go directly to paradise then?
