okay religious people, can you explain to me why your God lets such bad things happen, please? I am bemused.
apart from what we hear/see on the news, I had a terrible childhood, I've grown up and seen such bad things happen to good people (and vice versa), and this week my daughter's 16 year old friend died in a dreadful accident.
I'm not after sympathy.. you've probably all been through something similar.
but why does your God allow such things to happen?

Sara - I have asked this question in my head many many times. I have had more bad happen to me than good. I don't believe in a God as set out in the bible. I think there is something, not sure what. Saying that, though, I do pray for a person, or situation to be changed - to date its never made any difference.

I have been praying every day since Christmas for a young lad of 22, who we know. He sadly died this morning, Sometimes mircles do happen, but is this because there is a God or just life in general that deals the cards from the deck and if you get the joker, then tough or if you get the Ace then great.

Sorry to hear of your daughter's friend.

it is of course a very sad thing to happen and i understand you feeling upset about it (and i do not believe in god one bit), but you cannot claim every bit of bad luck that happens to someone you know as though its yet more crap happening to you...
