Saturday. Heavy frost this morning. Can't see any stars.
I might go down to the canal today, I'm not on duty, but It's lovely it there. Lots of nice people. There again I might do a few jobs that won't go away no matter who much I ignore them. Such is life.
That sounds nice. I'm going to have a mississippi pork steak again. with the jacket spud. I'll use a different cheese this time, just for a bit of variety.
I have some Stilton. I'll make some creamed mushrooms to go on top. With the garlic and herb coating on the steak it's as good combination of flavours.
I quite often saute mushrooms with chopped bacon and onion in a little Worcestershire and add some baby spinach leaves at the end with a tiny dollop of cream.
Sounds good. I chop them finely and sauté them with some mushroom ketchup until they have softened and most of the liquid has evaporated, then add some thick cream and a wee bit of fresh ground black pepper. Warm it all up a wee bit and make it disappear. :o}
I used to grow my own when we were at the last place Vera was a warden. There was enough room to grow enough that I never needed to buy any. There's not enough room here to make it worth while.
Might do a tad more research on mushy growing, plenty of shed room here.
And since the kids left home lot's of spare bedrooms, but, Mrs Oz may not agree with me on that one ;-/
