Hi all - a reminder here that the "Overhaul" feature is now in play -

"Transfers during the overhaul period will not come out of your remaining allowance. You have unlimited transfers for the next 11 days" - next match kick-off is 12:30, Saturday 9th September.

Going on the weekly stats only, I was 4th & 9th in Game Week 3, so a smidge of improvement was shown by the generally hapless bunch I've selected. It might help if my captains could manage to get more than 2 pts for starting!

Morning LiK. Have been having a look at the first 3 weeks stats. and had noted that you had a change of fortune in Week 3. Some very surprising point scoring going on when you compare the points scored by very cost effective defenders with say expensive strikers. Despite the unlimited choices available over the next 11 days I think I will keep my powder dry for now and see where the transfer window takes us. But if one of the defenders who is scoring well is announced as a big club target it may be worth a quick transfer, before it happens, and his price rises with a new club. If I start moving players around wholesale I am liable to confuse myself even more. :))

HI, L-I-K I had a pretty poor weekend myself... dropped down to fifth! look at Rob running away with it. as Mighty once said 'its a Marathon not a sprint'... even though it's early days I'll post our league tomorrow.

Another poor week for me. Two of my Chelsea players I sacked last week scored this weekend, which just about sums up my luck currently.
It may well be a marathon but I feel nackered already

Hi Arks and X Ray. Lol Ray tell me about it. I was out all day on Saturday and out early Sunday for lunch in Betws Y Coed. Upshot was I had to make my choices late Friday night. I had players dropped and on Sunday cost myself points by somehow leaving Saturdays captains in for Sunday. I was convinced I had set them up, and I lost big points in both teams. Will be careful to check that in future. Dohh.

Morning all. Hostilities are about to recommence, so a bit of thinking and planning required today. I have deliberately not spent any time this week agonizing over transfers, free or not. Didn't see the point of picking players that were going to be injured in the Internationals or locked up for drink driving and the like. So this morning and later on I will be scouring the football gossip sites and keeping a weather eye on the injuries lists. Strange weekend of fixtures, it has fallen so that some people, myself included,may be struggling for Sunday captains. So I may address that issue before the window closes, or I will have to use transfer options Sun. morning that deplete my resources. Will have a ponder later and see if I can devise a cunning plan.
