Hi everyone! Yes, it's back! With 7 days until kick-off, I've taken the liberty of restarting the Answerbank League at Sky Sports - https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/

(This is where I pretty much C & P last year's blurb...)

Hopefully all the regulars will enter a couple of teams & let's hope that a few more fancy having a go this season. Don't worry if you know *nothing* about football but still want to join in - you can use the option to have a team selected at random. The facility to enter a 3rd team in January will also be available.

As last year, we're given £100m to spend & have unlimited transfers until the Match Day deadline on Friday 10th August, then you get 5 per week / 40 for the season. They've kept the "Overhaul" feature, which means that for one week in September & one week in February, *unlimited* transfers will be available, *not* coming out of the 40 per season allowance! This was quite handy last season.

The paragraph "Captain Changes" in that link ^ is a "must-read".

When you've picked a team (or two) - yourself, or used automatic selection, name your team(s), then join the League - ours is called "AnswerBank" & the PIN you need to enter is -

You can then change the visibility of your team(s) between "Public" & "Private", depending on whether you want other Managers to be able to see the details. A note here - just because I'm called the League "Chairman" doesn't mean I'm given special powers. I can't see "Private" teams & I get no other privileges.

The first weekend's matches look like this -

Fri 10th Aug - 1 game, 8:00 pm kick-off
Sat 11th Aug - 6 games, first kick-off 12:30
Sun 12th Aug - 3 games, first kick-off 1:30

Hiya L.I.K, good to see you're on the case, I kinda guessed you'd post it today. I'm in... with my two teams, who need some serious tweaking when I get home, I just wanted to check my old account etc... and join the league for now.

I can't remember if you have to accept my teams or if its automatic after a certain time. I see you've selected your starting eleven already as its private, I only see one team though.

Ta for the nudge - I should be showing 2 teams now? Not sure what happened, I thought I'd added them both. One was random, one picked to fill places but with no thought at all, so I too need to have a proper look & start shuffling.

I think the Eds must have been out sunbathing today, I'll re-mail on Monday to get us stickied if it doesn't happen before then.

Yep, both teams are showing now, a similar thing happened to me earlier hence the nod. We have a different Ed to last season and She may not know about the AnswerBank FF League, I'm sure you put all details down as you seem to have covered everything in the OP :-)

...and yes we're off, time to start bumping the thread letting Everyone know its up and running again. I'm sure the regular players will join and agree lets hope we do get some new players joining after all we're all starting on a level playing field.

As for the prices just some of them are overpriced IMO... too many to name and shame.
