The wait is almost over for punters, like me, who really look forward to the Festival and 4 days of top-class racing.
Betting firms will be battling each other to give us punters the best 'offers' and, as and when i discover them, i'll post them on this thread. Hopefully, some of you will do the same.
Apart from the one i mentioned on the 'Saturday Punt' thread*, the only ones i have to hand at the moment are from SkyBet;

They are offering to refund all stakes if your horse is beaten in the FIRST race of the day (applies to all 4 days) your stake will be refunded in cash. There will, of course, be number of runner and maximum stakes rules, but that will be decided on the day.

SkyBet have also kindly forewarned punters in which races, for the first 2 days, they are offering extra places. They are as follows;

Tues; 2.50; 8/instead of 4, 4.10; 4/3, 4.50; 4/3
Wed; 2.10; 4/3, 2.50; 8/4, 4.10; 4/3, 4.50; 6/4, 5.30; 5/4

Didn't need the 'screenshot' - £5 refunded:-)

Best of luck with those, ZM:-)
3rd in 2:50. Stake back plus a dribble.
Question Author
Managed to get the forecast as well as the win - paid £47.60:-)
> Seven pounds for a Guinness

During the gold rush it's a good time to be in the pick and shovel business ...
Nice one Ken.

Constitution Hill - what an animal! Never in any doubt, wow!
My missus saw the offer from William Hill about 5 mins before they set off and slapped a tenner on Constitution Hill ..... what's not to like with the odds of evens ..... she doesn't even bet on horses but this was too good an offer to turn down :)

I missed the boat on this one, otherwise I'd have slapped a tenner on as well ....

Someone's just won £100K - lucky *&^^&*(*&

Excellent ride by Rachel.
Question Author
Giz, i doubled up on it ;cos 365 also offered evens to a £10 stake :-)
2nd place in 2nd race. Winner with Honeysuckle.
Question Author
Good arrow with Jazzy Matty. ZM :-))
And another winner with Jazzy Matty!
Cheers Ken
That was Montelado who won the Bumper in the last 1992, and the Supreme Hurdle opener in 1993 Ken. Charlie Swan was riding. Nothing doing today but count myself lucky to have seen the magnificent Constitution Hill win the Champion Hurdle doing handsprings. What a superb animal.
Question Author
I honestly thought it was something more recent, Togo, and i was racking my grey matter for a Mullins horse that might have achieved that feat. Incorrectly believing that if anyone could do that, it would have to be Mullins:-(
Question Author
Thought i was gonna celebrate a double but Mahler Mission came to grief at the 2nd last. Never know if it would have held on.

Still, not too bad a day with a winner, a forecast and a refund. I'll watch a bit of football tonight, then have a look at tomorrow's card :-)
Zax has had a nice start to the week. Well done. I am just perusing the card for tomorrow and have made a note of Langer Dan in the 2.50. I wouldn't blame you if that caused you to rule it out after today.
Question Author
Forgot to add the 2 x £10 wins @ evens on Constitution Hill to my 'not too bad a day'.:-)
Question Author
Less than enamoured with today's Cheltenham card - too many chances of short-priced winners and just the two handicaps:-(
Still, on the premise that you have t be in it to win it.........

2.50; HMS Seahorse @ 10/1 - 8 places
4.50; Coeur Sublime @ 12/1 - 6 places
5.30; A Dream To Share @ 9/2 - 5 places.

Win singles, £1 Patent/£1 Treble (both with 365)and £1 e.w. Treble (Sky). 3 placed = £17, 3 winners = £2,511.

Used 2 of my free £5 bets with Sky on;

2.50; £2.50 e.w. Bold Endeavour @ 22/1 - 8 places
$.50; £2.50 e.w. A Wave Of The Sea @ 50/1 - 6 places.

1.30; £5 win Hermes Allen @ 5/2 (Sky cash back offer)

ITV7 (no e.w. acca); Impaire Et Passe, Gerri Colombe, Milldam, HMS Seahorse, Soldier Of Destiny, Edwardstone and Delta Work.

Placepot; 7-4-12-3-4-2.

And the very best of luck to all punters:-))

Think i may have sussed out the £2/£5 refund confusion. Again, today when i looked, the max refund was given as £2. Then i logged on to my account and it read £5 (which is what i was refunded yesterday). It may be because i am a regular member of the 'SkyBet Club' and qualify for the free £5 bet each week?
