Sky report that the FA have asked West Brom for permission to talk to Roy Hodgson to take over as England manager, looks like Harry boy has fallen out of favour. Too much baggage perhaps?
No matter who they select for the managers job, they will never win anything IMO.
The players we have now are only interested in themselves and how much money they make a week playing in the league, not what they could do to win a European or world cup for their country!
I totally agree with TRT. Some also behave as if they are above the law. Managers can be weak in dealing with certain players; they, the players and the FA should be ashamed of themselves, but of course they won't be. Anyway, I just think that it will be good for England to have an English manager, who, by the way speaks 5 languages.
Stuart Pearce should have been left in charge until after Euro 2012, he was Capello's right hand man after all.
Roy Hodgson is a good Manager and has done a reasonably good job at the Baggies, unfortunately I feel that the England job is a step too far.
He is English and that is a step in the right direction.
Maybe Ian Holloway of Blackpool and Sam Allardyce of West Ham are not the 'Yes' men that the FA are looking for.
Nigel Clough-Derby County
Alan Pardew-Newcastle
Nigel Adkins-Southampton
Brian Mcdermott-Reading
Dave Jones-Sheff Wed, are all English and could be considered for the Job
Fingers crossed. Being a Villa supporter I am hoping McLeish will do a repeat walk out from his job at Villa Park and take up residence at The Hawthorns and fill the vacancy left by the England appointment....lol
I honestly think Roy is a better manager than Redknapp but still think he's mad to take the job.
He'll be torn apart eventually.
Simple fact is we haven't got good enough players to win Euro 2012 and I reckon we won't even win a game.
The media always whip up a frenzy of hype, they're an embarrassment to this country.
Hodgson is a well travelled manager who has international experience,I think apart from most of the Republic of Ireland team and Jack Charlton he was the only Englishman at USA 94 ;-)
Rednapp is a judas. He deserts sinking ships (which of course he has pulled the plug from first). I don't particularly like Hodgson as the choice for England but anyone is better than Rednapp "the East end boy who can't read, write, text, use a computer etc.etc." Watch out Tottenham, he'll stuff you next.
