well done France & well done Russia for hosting a trouble free world cup.
And the prize for spoiler of the week goes to our IrnBru correspondent - let us know next time there is something you'd like to avoid knowing the score/plot of and we'll see what we can do to ruin your fun...

... as Ummm says, many people will have been working this afternoon and (unlike an England match) may have been able to avoid knowing the score before watching a recording.

I myself was running about 30 minutes behind 'live' but popped in here when I got an alert about an interesting thread I was subscribed too - only to see this thread all too prominent in 'latest posts'.

Fortunately the match was (pretty much) done and dusted by then, but it did remove any enjoyment I might have had in wondering 'do miracles happen' ...
If I didn't want to know the score of a sporing event and i had recorded it and wanted to watch it without knowing the result.....I wouldn't come on to AB first.
Exactly sqad..
You know someone is going to put something on :-(

dave ..it would have taken a blind, deaf, dumb alien from another planet to avoid this !!
There is a policy on here - 99% of people know it and are polite enough to abide by it - it's not difficult to be nice.
It’s not difficult to stay off a website, or any social media, when you don’t want to know the score.
I think trying to count a sporing event would be very difficult, especially once they're airborne.

Dave.. dont be a plonker !
Yeah! yeah! yerah! I knew somebody would pick it up.....LOL
Too mushroom for error.
Motes and Beams, minty, Motes and Beams
Do they play for France?
Question Author
EH ?
I agree with Dave. If you want to talk about sporting events there's no need whatsoever to give the result away in the OP.
Question Author
sigh..do we live in the same country ?

all over the telly...banners..latest news.etc
As well as agreeing with Dave, I thought it was considered good form to keep spoiler information out of a title and first few lines of a post? Those discussing it won't mind skipping past a few lines, those who don't want to know will be safe.
