Neither Modric nor Morata had a single shot on target between them in normal time so my profit is now down to £118.23. Morata waited until extra time before registering a shot on target, scoring Spain's 4th goal - currently 5-3 to Spain.
France v Switzerland up next and i'm going for a French win;
£5 win France 2-1 @ 17/2
£5 @ 5/1 for Griezmann, Pogba and Shaqiri all to have at least 1 SOT
Another ten spot back in the bookies satchel. Very well done to Switzerland. How fitting that the most feared striker in European football should miss such a vital penalty. Mbappe hasn't had a single shot on target in his last 3 games.
To be fair to Chris, Hoppy, they were the favs. Watching them beat the Germans by an own goal to nil, i couldn't help but think the commentators were having themselves on by repeatedly commenting that France were playing within themselves. They still maintained France had another few gears when they drew 1-1 with Hungary, and the same again both against Portugal and tonight. Let's face it, but for Loris's penalty save, the game would have been over long before the 90th minute.
As expected, with the possible exception of keeping Bukayo Saka in the line up, Southgate ha gone for safety first. I really do not know quite what to expect from this match. If the Germans play as they did against Portugal, we could be in for a very rough ride. If not, we may have a squeak. I am hoping that today's games emulate yesterday's in that there will be a few goals n both.
£5 BTTS & Draw @ 3/1 - (generates a £2 free bet on the Sweden v Ukraine match).
£5 with 365; John Stones anytime goal @ 11/1 (better price elsewhere but this is a free bet).
£5 free shop bet with Willy Hill; England v Germany 2-2 @ 12/1
£2 free bet generated by above first bet; Sweden 2-1 @ 10/1
£5 Emil Forsberg (Swe) to have more than 1 SOT @ 7/2
Forsberg did his job but fate was cruel on Sweden. Having hit the woodwork twice, they then suffered the sucker-punch in extra time. We England fans should be pleased. Of the two, surely the Ukraine were the ones we wanted in the next round.
Profit now £120.73.
"But he said it was impossible to know whether people had contracted the virus while watching a match or somewhere else, or how many people they had subsequently infected."
"Prof Leitch added, "Some of them may have taken it to London with them, some of them may have got it when they came home."
I would guess that it is more than coincidence when they claim that nearly 400 alone were at Wembley
Wonder what the knock on effect will be in London though

They still could have brought it down with them, Sticky. Not heard of any sudden surges in London though, have you?
That was my point I wasn’t saying they caught it in London I just surmised that there would bound to be an after effect of them all gathered in such closeness pretty much in one street in London with barely a mask in sight
I think it's a tad weird just how this virus works, sticky. My eldest daughter was tested positive some time back but her partner and four children who all live in the same household were totally unaffected. In contrast, another of my daughters, her partner and her child have all tested positive?
The young Scottish player was tested positive but his team mates were not?
Some of the matches to date have been gloriously unpredictable and i am having real difficulty finding an 'in' to tonight's Spain v Switzerland game. I was going to leave it, having already included Spain in my QF acca, but i have risked a fiver on;
