Agreed - and how the VAR ref didn’t ask the incompetent ref to look at the monitor (as he did with the Robertson one) is astounding. Plus, if it’s true that the ref told Klopp he’d denied the penalty just because the player had ‘stopped’ it underlines how incompetent he is.
I disagree about stopping. All a player whose chasing a ball but probly can't get it followed by a defender as to do is stop and the defenders going to run into them... would be to easy to get pens that way
Fair enough if a player just stops and the defender runs into him (or her), but in this case the player shoves him in the back with no possibility of getting to the ball.
It’s almost as bizarre as Martin Atkinson’s excuse at Newcastle.When the Man City goal keeper clearly takes out the Newcastle player he deemed it no penalty as the ball was gone.
