I don't think you gamblers saw that coming did you? What? Forest win at Newcastle. West Ham win at Arsenal. Utd beat Villa. Probably wrecked a few footballing bets!

I know people who just look at the fixture list and throw all the 'dead certs' in their accas, but i never include teams who are long odds-on in any of mine - anything shorter than 2/5 and i'm just not interested.
If i'm actually watching a match, i do a 'Build your own odds' £5 bet without having to name a winner. Watched the Brighton v Spurs game last night and won £40; Wellbeck and Jao Pedro to have at least one shot on target, both teams to score, at least 7 corners (could have gone for more as there were 13!) and at least 3 yellow cards.
I won't pretend this type of bet is always successful for me (sometimes refs can be far too lenient, for instance) but as i usually go for 5/1 and upwards, it only has to be so once every 4 or 5 times for me to stay slightly ahead.
