Slow start-up PC
When I switch on my PC it takes 10-15mins and sometimes longer to start, but it clicks away like it`s receiving a chapter or two from a book. Why is it doing this?TIA.

From your post I can only suggest That there could be a number of issues which could be that too many programs are trying to start on startup and that needs to be checked or that it is a hardware issue eg not enough installed ram . Details of OS and specifications of your computer will help narrow down your problem. That clicking is the harddrive overworking to start your computer bcause of a overload of programs trying to start.
Using 'Safe Mode' might also help.
When you switch the PC on keep pressing the F8 key. It should bring up a menu. Choose the option for Safe Mode.
This will restart your computer with only the minimum programs running. If this still takes 10-15 minutes then it suggests a hardware fault. If it starts in 3-4 minutes then it is along the lines of what Galeck says above.
