E mail address
I wish to get a new e-mail address, as I plan to change internet service providers (see my recent question)
To avoid being tied to an ISP in future, I want one that doesn't rely on me remaining a customer.
Do I have any choice other than Hotmail and Gmail?
Am I being silly not wanting to go with the giants of Microsoft and Google?

Anyone registering their own domain name for email purposes (and who doesn't want everyone to know their postal address) needs to ensure that their personal details aren't available via a 'whois' search.
