how can I take one of my favourites and put it on as a short cut on to my screen

In what? a computer, a phone, a tablet?

Assuming a windows computer, go to the page you want the shortcut for, reduce the size of your browser so it's not full screen and then drag the little icon to the left of the address in the address bar onto the desktop.

Click on your favourites.
Select which one you want and right click on it .
Select send to.
Pick desktop (create shortcut ).Left click.
Sorted.

On a PC you can copy the address from your favourites list then paste onto the desktop.

1) Just open start menu on the task bar
2) Then, click on all programs and select any one program you wish to create a shortcut
3) Finally right click on the selected program and click on shortcut
