Is there a simple way to print what's on my screen?Preferably freeware. I know there's a way to use'clipboard' and send a 'screenshot' although I have forgotten how. All I want to be able to do is press Print Screen and my printer prints what's on the screen. Had this function through free downloaded software when I used xp but it was not compatable with W7 . I know about' right clicking and print' but this does not always print the right part of the screen ,as I have found out when trying to print images from emails.Any help appreciated, P

Thanks for reply, Sharingan, sorry but I don't understand 'paste it into paint and hit print' I'm just looking for something simple.
Prtscn
Don't know what happened then.

WR.
Prtscn will capture the whole screen
Alt+Prtscn will capture the current window
Ctrl+Prtscn should send it to the printer
Thinking about it a little more............ in a modern OS, Ctrl+Prtscn may not do it. I think it was more for older MSDOS text printing.

As Sharingan says, go into Paint or similar and Paste after doing a Prtscn

Hi,The Builder, tried that and nothing happened, my Print Screen button has Print Screen above a line and SysRg below, sould I be pressing something else to activate the right bit? Have tried the caps key but still nothing,P
Ah....... after doing Prtscn, you will have to go into a "Paint" type of graphics/drawing utility and press "Paste"

Try it in W7 "Paint" in the "Accessories" folder.

I've tried Alt+Print Screen and Ctrl + Print Screen then opened Paint and there was nothing in there either time ???
Did you click on "Paste" in the top left corner?
If you are having problems with PrtScrn you might want to try a free utility.
For example
http://www.wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter_free.htm

Their are plenty available if you google "free screen capture"
I can't recommend any as I don't use them.
Shift+PrintScreen
Sorry it's done it again, it's not submitting what I am typing.

WR.
Shift is just an embellishment, Ron. "Prtscn" alone should do it :o)
