I'm sure I used to have some sort of cooling system on my HP laptop - remember a blast of icy air coming out from the left hand side.
All I get is very hot air now.
Have cleared the vents with compressed air but wondered if I'm've somehow disabled the cooling system - seem to recall a blue icon with a snowflake on which I don't see now.
Be very grateful for any ideas - thank you

tilt it on some kind of a ledge, let air flow beneath it, It's what I do, I don't know of any program to cool it.

Thank you eanceoil I've done that and put a book under one corner to allow an air flow - maybe I'm imaging things but I could swear I used to have a very cold lap before I used lappy on a desk. Thank you for answering - stay well
you're welcome rsvp, I hope someone comes along with a better solution, there probably was a program on your laptop, I'm just unfamiliar with a lot of the technology, just turn it on and fingers crossed
